BEWARE!
I recently attempted to open a business account with Truliant and was denied. After obtaining my ChexSystems report—which shows no negative activity—and speaking with representatives at the branch, I was told the decision was due to "internal qualifications." However, these criteria were not disclosed, and even the branch manager stated he was not privy to the reasoning behind the denial. While I understand that financial institutions have the right to set their own standards, denying an applicant based on undisclosed, inaccessible criteria eliminates the ability to correct or improve one’s standing. This process lacks transparency, feels arbitrary, and is discouraging to those genuinely trying to build their financial future. I am deeply disappointed not only by the denial itself but by the lack of clear communication and recourse.
This experience will be escalated to the extent necessary because no applicant deserves to be shut out without explanation or a path forward. I urge Truliant to reflect on how this approach may unintentionally exclude and discourage individuals who are working hard to move in the right direction.
