The good: I would like to say that the restaurant was comfortable in temperature so I believe the AC has been fixed. There is a fair amount of seating. The cheeseburger pizza, bbq chicken pizza, and supreme/deluxe pizza were good but, not good enough for me to pay $17 per person for. There were plenty of single topping pizzas in the bar and fresh ones always being added. The cherry dessert pizza was really good. They do have the good ice (iykyk).
The bad: I grabbed a stack of plates from the drink area to take to the table and had to cycle through about 5 of them to find one that was clean and/or dry. They were all smeared with greasy fingerprints or stuck on food. My drink cup was sticky on the outside, my guess is their dishwasher must not be working as well as it should. Our table was not level and was wobbly - I wouldn’t expect that from a place that hasn’t been open only a week or so. The salad bar was very messy, toppings everywhere they shouldn’t be. The lettuce looked dry and wilted. I ended up skipping the salad bar except for the pasta salad which was lackluster with no flavor or dressing. The baked spaghetti was also very bland and the noodles were over-cooked and mushy. The kids area is blocked off by a wall (this is bad for a lot of reasons I shouldn’t go into). They advertised they had Wings on the sign out front but, there were none on the bar. The floors were sticky and there were puddles on the floor along with dirty footprints. The bar staff was not the friendliest, and the smell was more chemicals than pizza.
Needless to say we won’t be back any time soon. This is not what B....
Read moreThought we’d try the pizza buffet for dinner last night. First thing I noticed is they charge you for a drink whether or not you want it. I was charged for drinking water. Secondly, you get charged to use your debit card. I do understand times are tough but, they aren’t just tough on the Industry, they are tough for everyone. I would say it was an expensive experience, and the food was not worth the money. A basic salad bar and very slim pickings of pizza. We arrived about 6:00 pm and there were approximately 6 pizza’s that had more than half of them gone. There was nothing fresh at that time. Seems like dinner time would have several hot fresh pizza ready. We enjoyed our salad and waited for fresh hot pizza. Unfortunately, the next several pizza’s that came out were cheese, garlic cheese, bbq cheese….no meat. When the very nice bus lady came by to grab plates, she told us we could request anything we wanted be made. We asked for two specific pizza’s, after a few minutes the pizza I had requested was ready, however the one my spouse requested had never even been made. There were very few pizza’s that contained any meat, mostly cheese and I do understand cut backs but it was overtly obvious that cooking mainly cheese pizza’s was what they were doing. I would suggest Pizza Inn or Dempsey’s in Clinton, they have chicken wings, pasta and soup as well as salad. I do hope that this place works out, I know it’s a huge undertaking to get a restaurant off the ground. Bottom line is, it is too expensive for the...
Read moreI’ve read some of the previous reviews. My message is to the owner or whoever is responding to these reviews. As an owner of two restaurants, take the bad reviews and appreciate them better than the good. It’s nice to hear compliments but happy patrons will come back. It’s the ones with bad experience you have to work to change their mind. If you don’t think so, you’ll be gone faster than the other three that occupied the building before you. At the cost you’re charging without coupons, it’s hard to justify 35$ for two people when they only eat equivalent to a medium pizza. The pizza and salads were good, place is clean and bright and people friendly. That’s a huge compliment for boiling springs goers. To sum up, it was nice to have a buffet in town, but I can’t justify the cost with amount consume. I get you have to keep doors open and pay bills, but as I use to tell my father a lot, I would rather sell 50-5 for $5 hotdogs rather than 20 individually for $2.49. Margins aren’t higher but you’re more to get repeat customers and get ones back that had bad experiences to win them over again. Good luck to you guys. Really do hope you start...
