Do NOT EVER even think of buying a fire place from these guys. They have messed my fireplace up so much I am not sure it will ever work. I have spent almost as much money on contractors trying to make up for their negligence as I did to purchase the unit in the first place. "They will install it." they said. HA! What a joke. I bought this is September and I yet to have a working fireplace. We have called seriously probably 50 times needing them to help us figure this mess out. Right now I waiting for them, (they were to be here at 0800 so they can try and synchronize the remote with the blower, as we have not been able to do so by following their instructions.) The plumber has been here and gone and my contractor is here. Waiting. Spending money on them again, while I do laundry and surf the web. I cannot believe how unprofessional, irresponsible and expensive this whole thing has been. "Buy the floor model", they said, "it will be cheaper they said." "Yes the mantle goes with it," they said, "for 500$ more dollars" they said. The mantle does not fit the fireplace. It was cobbled together on the floor model to appear as if it did. I have had to pay a woodworker to make longer legs on it, so it actually fits. I needed a permit? Opps they forgot to mention permits. I have had the plumber here 4 times, MDU here at least twice. I have to have it inspected? Oh, yeah, they forgot to mention that as well. Seriously, when we bought the damn thing he drew me a little picture on the side of my receipt on how freaking easy it was to put this in my house. 4 months and 2 thousand dollars later and I STILL do not have a fireplace. This does not even count the stone I still have to buy to face it with and the hearth. My budget is blown. My patience is worn out. My fireplace is a huge expensive sculpture in my living room and I have supported Action Mechanical for a couple on months. YAY.
You will be sorry. Do not trust them with your money and your dreams. They are...
Read moreThey do not stand behind their work. Take the money and run. I gave them 4 months to make it right... Todd refused. I paid over 300.00 to have my pellet stove serviced in September 2017; before the cold weather hit. Then when we got hit with below 0 temperatures... the stove would not work. I called and set up an appointment... having to wait two weeks before anyone could make it to Newcastle.. To my amazement no one showed up. I called asking if there was a problem and got the excuse 'unfortunately we have had a couple technicians quit." No one called to reschedule or Inform me of the problem. I rescheduled the service for yet another two weeks plus. And when he (kevin) was 14 min late I called.... they said he was on his way!!! He (kevin) never showed up.. Todd even called me three times during the day asking if he showed up yet saying He isn't answering his cell. Have him call when he arrives. He never did. After all this I still gave them a chance to make this right! Todd called me and wanted to talk me through fixing it. Well it never worked. Today 2/7/18 Todd called asking about an open invoice.... cuz they never showed up. After a 15 min conversation he said he wasn't coming to fix it.. he won't refund any money and won't stand behind his work. The reason I chose spearfish canyon fireplace and spa was because of the reviews I did not receive that service. I would not recommend this company. They just want your money!! Not standing behind your work is the worst thing. And making someone wait 4 + months to just blow them off is very...
Read moreTodd said he was on his way over but showed owed up 2 hours late as we were getting ready to leave. He ended up going to the neighbor's house and found his way to our backyard where he proceeded to take off our hot tub cover and immediately tells us that it's the motor without disconnecting the motor or doing any other diagnostics. The FL1 code was on which indicates flow switch or pump. All Todd did was turn on and off breaker and again declared it to be the motor. He said he wasn't sure if it was a 120 or 220 V for motor but did nothing to verify . Left 10 minutes later saying a new motor would cost 500 plus labor. We were fine with that but asked again if it could be anything else as that is a lot money to spend. When he left, he had no clue what size or volt motor it was. He also left the side cover off . Which, whatever. Called Todd two days later to see if motor was ordered and total cost. His responses was yes and no and depends on why I was asking. I said because you told us you would call and let us no and what total cost would be. He said he hadn't yet ordered and asked if I still wanted him to. I said yes if that's what is is the motor. He then said in a nasty tone that he told me two times and will not repeat himself and was now dismissing himself from the job and hung up.NOT professional at all. If I could give 0...
