We are a school (approximately 2300 students), who purchased a stackable washer/dryer a little over a year prior for one of our elementaries. So, no it's not under warranty anymore but contacted Karl's to fix the "squirrel cage" in the dryer. This was the only part needed. Technician shows up without the correct tools, tries using a channel lock we had on a shelf. Said tech then proceeds to round off the bolt, since the correct tool wasn't being used. This process then ruins the shaft of the motor. #1 motor comes, the same tech comes and wires it incorrectly which ruins the motor. Motor #2 is ordered, comes in, same technician, this time it is decided the new motor is "bad". Technician then decides a new wiring harness needs to be ordered along with Motor #3. Technician stops back, decides it needs an additional new part. We contacted the local business multiple times, we are told the technician is new and still learning. Mind you this process has been going on for 4 1/2 MONTHS. We talked with the local manager in person, "well, we are doing all we can do" NO offer to bring in a unit to be used in the meantime for our 4+ month inconvenience. We contacted the corporate office, basically received the same answer and were told we should contact the manufacturer of the machine and see if there is a different technician in our area. Remember we purchased this from our local Karl's. We are the 2nd biggest employer in our town. We asked if we should seek the fix with someone else and no longer do business with our local business?? The reply was "if that is what you feel you need to do" This is concerning for the future of the local Karl's. We are left with a unit in multiple pieces and not working. Word will pass quickly. So the final take away was Karl's no matter locally or corporate wise has any concerns for the quality of service they are providing or "taking care of their customers' '. Advice for those personally or a business owner. DO NOT PURCHASE...
Read moreDo not even consider buying appliances here. ZERO star review. Negative experience from sales, customer service, parts/warranty and install. Ordered 6 Whirlpool appliances to receive a rebate, salesperson went through each SKU to ensure all items we picked out were on the rebate. Sure enough the refrigerator he ordered was not and we lost a $600 rebate. District manager had no resolution for their mistake. We had to pay a 3rd party installer more money because Karlâs installer quit, which resulted in dishwasher leaking all over floor because it wasnât installed correctly. He also installed our stove 1 week before we moved in and he knew it didnât work, but didnât tell me when I wrote him a check at the end of the day. Karlâs was advised of the broken range by the installer, but no one called to tell me it was defective, we figured it out when we moved in and tried to use it. Karlâs then proceeded to tell me the replacement range was on backorder leaving me with no range as their resolution, had to call district manager who offered a loaner stove. Now my microwave heating element stopped working (6 months old) and Iâve called twice and left a message both times for service and no one calls back. This is exactly why buying online from big retailers is a...
Read moreWe bought a washer and dryer here recently and it was a joke. So first we go in on a Friday and looked around so we could decide what we wanted. We decide the next day later so we call early to get put on the list for install. The guy says yes we can have you down for Wednesday installation as long as you come pay today. So later that day we pay and he says Wednesday is booked could you do the next day so we just say whatever ok. So when they come to install they say they canât hookup the washer drainage hose because it couldnât be secured which before it was just resting up in the drain. The guy whoâs installing said for 10 dollars he would hook it up and act like he didnât see it. So I ended up having to hook that up. Then we also bought a dryer vent hose from Menards we just havenât hooked it up yet so I ask them while we were buying them if they could install those and he says yup we can do that. So when there installing they said we canât hook that up because thatâs not the hose we sell. So I paid them for me to pretty much hook my washer and dryer up. Plus the guy tried to rob me out of money for not hooking the drainage hose up the way it was before. On top of that they were 2 hours later than what we were told they would be here. So ya...
