Wanted to surprise my son and his expectant wife with their first washer and dryer, but their 2nd floor apt., narrow doorways and hookup location made selecting a set rather difficult...and potentially expensive.

Then I contacted Whitco for a quote on a machine I'd seen online, , and received a response from Bill White within hours. Over the next week, we went back and forth with questions and responses, and I eventually drove to the store so I could see my options in person. I had thought I was limited to one of those one piece washer/dryer combos, but Bill pointed out a Maytag set that turned out to be a better investment for a family of three AND it wasn't much more money.

My quote included EVERYTHING right down to the install and stacking kit and the total was a good deal less than the pieces by themselves would have been if purchased elsewhere.

They were able to deliver within a few days - just in time for baby - and Whitco's delivery men were on time, friendly, and professional..

We couldn't be happier with this transaction and expect to be repeat customers. I highly recommend this unusual appliance (and more) store in Spencer, MA, run by local merchants.

I found this place by accident...after waiting 6 weeks from my original appliance store and for them to tell me on the due date of delivery that my refrigerator was going to be back ordered for another 5 weeks I was talking to a co-worker of mine who lives in the Worcester area just saying can you believe I’ve been without a fridge for 6 weeks and now they’re telling me another 5 weeks. He said to me what’s the model number...I’ll call my guy in Spencer mass. Give me 10 minutes....sure enough he called back and said he had 2 in stock...when do you want it? Couldn’t believe it...so I called Bill at Whitco sales and told him my story....he couldn’t have been more accommodating....I went from waiting 6 weeks to 4 days from my phone call. From Spencer to Mansfield. He gave me a time window and his guys showed up right on time. Talk about friendly and professional guys...they did a great job from the time they got there to the time they left. They took my front door of my house off to prevent any damage to my new fridge. Even gave me a quick tutorial on how to use a couple of the features. Real nice guys So glad I found this...

Outstanding customer service...

My parents bought a range from Bill, the owner, at whitco. It turned out the range was faulty. In an attempt to get the issue resolved , Bill sent out a third party repair service, that proved to be a waste of time. Understanding my parents frustration he sent out another repair service for a second opinion. This time, the service technician acknowledged there was an issue but could not repair the range. At that point, Bill took the range back and my parents picked another model which is working beautifully!

Now, I will not mention brand names of appliances in this case because we all know that once in a while , there can be lemons. As well as the names of the repair services, because not all technicians are equal...

What I want to stress, however, is that Bill went above and beyond to provide great customer service for my parents! He stood behind the product he sold, took ownership and promptly addressed the issue!
