Something is wrong in the kitchen. Quality of food has gone down in the last few years. I mainly go at lunch so I recommend you stick with breakfast items as many good reviews are from that menu. I ordered a tuna club with onion rings. I really should have sent it back, it was that bad. The onion rings had no onion taste, how is that possible. The batter had a strange taste, so perhaps the frying oil was too old or they were leftovers. They were luke warm and soggy. Soggy doesn't even begin to describe the tuna on white toast. The tuna was like thick oatmeal. It would not stay in the sandwich. It too had no taste like tuna. I couldn't pick up the sandwich the white toast was wet. How does toast get that wet. The bread slumbed over when picked it up. The wet tuna plopped out. I ate it with a knife and fork off the plate. The order came out quickly, so it couldn't have been sitting too long. This is not the first time lunch items came out bad or wrong from the kitchen. If I order a sandwich on rye, it comes out on white. The servers never catch it. This place is one of the few areas around you can go in and get a good breakfast at the Crack of dawn. Yay work hours. The waitress I usually get is fantastic. She's on it with the coffee refills and the food comes out so ridiculously fast I can hardly believe it each time. Always cooked to order and hasn't been wrong yet. Healthy portions and good prices. Relaxed atmosphere and regulars that know each other. Cute place. Plenty of parking technically, but they get so busy sometimes it can be overwhelming to look for a spot. Always find one though. Not impressed with the food. The staff was nice and professional which is good but the food quality was a massive disappointment. The breakfast steak tasted like and had the consistency of a low quality bottom shelf steak that had been cooked days prior and frozen. Rubbery and dense. The eggs could not qualify as cooked. They still clear and runny. The "home fries" were quarter cut potatoes with no flavor. Boiled, but under boiled at that, and the toast was mushy. 45 dollars for 2 people. Coffee and 2 meals.
