My family of almost 7 ran across Refuge Medical through YouTube. We were trying to plan for potential future issues that could arise for a large family that always has a kid getting hurt. Having quality components that will work was a requirement for us seeing lots of foreign supplies offered super cheap. Listening to the ownership and staff discuss how they try to source or make as much of their product domestically as possible was a huge selling point while understanding some things are almost always going to be foreign produced. The ownership discussed in a video how they only operate at a 5% realized profit. While searching for who to buy our gear from, we saw a few people online try to refute their pricing and say you can buy the product cheaper. There are multiple people that have done the calculations and shown the kits are cost effective. Ultimately, if you don't know how to build a kit you will not go wrong for your family with their abundance of options. For those of you with experience then yes maybe you can build a kit yourself more specific to your needs. Once our large for us order was placed we waited just a couple days and received a video text message of our products being packaged for shipment. They even included a birthday letter to my wife as it was all coming just before her birthday. Without having formal training for this gear yet, the Refuge team offers professional training classes as well as post informational videos on YouTube. Above all they are all children of Yah and do everything they do for the right reasons and we can't wait to more further prepare our family and vehicles with their kits.
As of 1.12.24 we own a Stomp bag 1.0, ARK,...
Read moreOver the past 2 years I have bought two IFAK KITS and two different types of tourniquets in addition to the cat gen 7 tourniquets included with the kits. Product and service are excellent. However I didn't know how to use the stuff. So my wife and I just attended the training Monday at the refuge medical building in Spiro Oklahoma. We learned a lot from the scenarios and the teaching. If you don't know how to stop a major bleed after this class you didn't pay attention. Of course stopping the major bleed is only part of it. But we found out bleeding out is the major cause of many deaths so I guess it's sort of important you know. The patient must then get to the next level of care! Staff was accommodating and excellent in all aspects. We also purchased two more kits after the class now my wife carries one in her car and I carry one in my carry bag which I take with me everywhere and also one in the vehicle I'm driving that day. My wife and I look forward to hopefully taking a more advanced class in the future. Thank you so much...
Read moreIf you are looking for first aid kits or training on how to use them, this is the place. I've bought multiple kits from them over the years and am blown away by the quality of construction, contents and thought that went into their preparation. Whether you need a small kit to carry personally or are treating SEAL team 6, Refuge has it for you. And they'll teach you how to use it. Attended the responder series this week and was blown away by the depth and breadth of knowledge that they shared. The team know their stuff and will drill it into you until you are dreaming of applying that tourniquet in your sleep. What's more, they really care. I'll be going back for more training for sure. Prices may be higher than other places - but remember the old adage, you get what you pay for. Do you really want to trust your life or the life of your loved one to that cheap...
