I used to work here and I can attest to the fact that it’s the cheapest grocery store in york, but remember, you get what you pay for. You won’t find high-quality, gourmet food here. It’s mostly store-brand items, less-than-fresh produce, and a pretty slim selection. So, if you plan on making a fancy organic four-course meal, go elsewhere. But if you’re just picking up groceries for the week, this might be a good place to go. Just don’t plan on this being a “one stop shop” kinda deal. They don’t carry all items that a normal grocery store has, just the basics. Their meat is really cheap, though, I remember getting chicken for $50 a lb one time. First time coming to this store wasn't very appealing. I go to get a cart which is keeped locked on the outside of the store unless you add a coin to release it. I noticed a bunch of trash underneath each cart wheel which could cause harm to someone trying to release it. I went to go inside the store to check it out but notice a filthy floor at the entrance and located near the vegetables. Worst produce. Not good quality and always about ready for the trash. You can find better at a food bank. I’d be ashamed to sell it. But I guess if you don’t care you don’t care.it’s been this way for a long time. Health board is being called to address it. It’s not safe to eat. Edited this review to address selling out dated freezer products. Reported it to the health board again. Be careful of what you buy. Apparently food safety isn’t important past the profits.
