I called Northside Lexus in Spring, Texas and explained my wife had totaled our vehicle and that we would have to turn the rental in soon and we needed another vehicle and that we were interested in a vehicle we saw on there website. I let them know i was already approved thru my bank Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union and asked them to send over a buyers order and I would be down to pick up the vehicle the next day. I was told that they would not be able to release the vehicle to me until they received the check. I Notified the bank of what i was told and the bank called the dealership and discussed it with them and I was notified by the Northside Lexus sales representative that I would be able to come sign my papers and get my vehicle because they had talked with the bank and knew the check was being sent. I drove 5 and a half hours to Spring, Texas with my wife and 2 kids from Northeast Louisiana and arrived at the dealership at 2pm. I was thru signing my paperwork by 2:15pm which would have given me and my wife plenty of daylight to drive back home. I was then not allowed to leave with my vehicle until after 5pm. Even though they had spoken to the bank multiple times, I had sent all the credentials they asked for, and prior to me making it there they had verified that everything was legit, even ran my credit when i got there claiming it would help them properly identify me and make sure I was who I said I was. I even provided my license and veteran ID and I was still not allowed to leave with my vehicle. The reason they gave was they were waiting for the tracking number on the check. The bank sent the check to them in good faith While knowing That Northside Lexus did not have all the paperwork for my vehicle and wouldn't have it for up to 2 to 3 weeks thinking they would honor there word. I had to spend extra money because i wasnt allowed to leave with the vehicle until 5 i had to pay for another day of rental car fees and follow my wife and kids back late at night on Texas back roads back to Louisiana. On top of that I have to wait 2 weeks before I can put my tags on. The Bank did their part, I did my part, The only part not done was on the dealership! The atmosphere there was truly unwelcoming. The Customer Service was extremely poor, it was not a friendly nor family oriented vibe. I wouldn't recommend this...
Read more1-Star Review: Northside Lexus – Where “Luxury” Means Luxuriously Fleecing Your Wallet Oh, bravo, Northside Lexus! What a delightful experience it was to waltz into your gleaming showroom, dreaming of that sleek new ride, only to emerge three hours later feeling like I’d just auditioned for a sequel to Ocean’s Eleven – but as the mark. Five stars for the free coffee; zero for not spiking it with truth serum before they hit me with the “totally optional” add-ons. Let’s start with the salesman, Chad (or was it Brad? They all blur together after the third upsell). He greeted me like a long-lost brother, all smiles and handshakes, whispering sweet nothings about “unbeatable deals” and “VIP treatment.” By the time we reached financing, that VIP treatment had morphed into a full-body cavity search trying to get all of the money out of my bank account. Who knew a simple oil change package could balloon to the GDP of a small nation? And those “extended warranties”? they’re extended alright – straight into my retirement fund. But the real genius move? Their financing and accounting department operates on “flexible hours” – code for “closed whenever it’s inconvenient for you, but wide open for happy hour.” I spent the afternoon cooling my heels in the lobby, pre approved financing in hand, while they “processed” my transaction at what felt like glacial speed. Turns out, the whole crew had dipped out early for an “urgent staff meeting” (read: tee time at the country club). Nothing screams efficiency like chasing voicemails during prime business hours, only to get a callback at 8 PM promising “we’ll sort it tomorrow… maybe.” Thieves? Nah, these are procrastination virtuosos, turning your purchase into a bureaucratic limbo dance. I signed on the dotted line for what I thought was a car, but let’s be honest, I basically leased a timeshare in Chad’s beach house. If you’re in the market for a vehicle that comes pre-loaded with regret, existential dread, and a side of “why didn’t I just buy a bicycle,” Northside Lexus is your Louvre. Would I recommend? Only if your goal is to fund their next yacht party. Congrats on the sale, fellas – may your karma come with a 29.9% APR. Pro tip: Bring a lawyer, a priest, and a calculator. You’ll...
Read moreI found Northside Lexus dealership a very non-trustable dealership. I am sharing my experience so others can take caution while giving a so called refundable $1000 advance deposit, which can be very difficult to get back if the car purchase does not go through. I have not got my $1000 refunded after following up with Northside Lexus many times and still waiting months after. I am sharing the screenshot of dispute with credit company also (please see the attachment), which is also unresolved yet. I thought to share it here, so others can know what can be expected when you put down your hard earned deposit. Also highly recommend against giving them money via a check. With credit card we can dispute and have chances to get the refund.
I assumed it was a typical practice when I was asked for a $1000 deposit for a car in transit, as Northside Lexus hardly keeps any RX350 car in inventory on their big lot (probably sits mostly empty). I was told by the sales rep (Doug Tosh) that it is a refundable deposit. Due to some unfortunate reason the purchase transaction didn't happen. Doug said to me that he is putting in the refund request. Everything was fine this far and things look credible and trustable. But weeks passed and the refund did not arrive. I called Doug to check on it. And, this time his tone was different. He said the money is not with him and it is up to them (probably referred to finance team) to refund it. His word made me nervous. Instead of assuring me that your money will come and it just take time, he sounded like I don't know about the deposit money.
I felt badly treated by Northside Lexus. I had RX350 on the top of my list for purchase and had plans to purchase few months down the road in 2025. But after this experience, I feel like if they couldn't be trusted for just $1000, how would I trust them for $65K car for the servicing needs.
Lexus RX350 may be a reliable car, but people associated with this brand didn't seem reliable and trustable. Would recommend everyone taking highly cautious approach when handing your money to them, as putting a deposit may be the only way to get hold of a car with this...
