Owner and staff are friendly and the shop is nice but I was very disappointed by my whole experience there. I took a ring that had lost a diamond and we decided it needed to be sized down as well. They told me it would be about $150 and should just take a week. I went back and the owner told me it wasn't ready because she was having trouble finding the right diamond to match it. I told them I would be going out of town in 2 weeks and they assured me it would be ready before then. It wasn't. They called me shortly after but f course, I couldn't go. They had the ring in the shop for over a week before I was able to go in and then when I put it on we realized it had not been sized down as it was supposed to and they wanted to charge me double what they had quoted. They were very reasonable and once I said something they let me pay what they had originally told me and they said they would keep the ring and get it sized correctly. So I waited another week and then finally called to check and they did have the ring in but had not notified me. So, now I finally have my ring back, over a month later. Owner does not stand by her work and was rude and dishonest. We took an heirloom ring to be refashioned into an engagement ring and diamond studs. There were also 10 rubies and 8 smaller diamonds that we wanted removed and saved so we could make an anniversary band at some point in the future. When I went to pick up the ring, the owner, Barbara, told me the smaller gems had been destroyed in melting down the gold. Why weren't the gems removed BEFORE the melting process? When my husband questioned her about this, she argued with him that it was OUR fault for asking that the ring be taken apart and said, "These things happen." She never even told us that this was a possibility. She did not apologize nor offer us any compensation for the lost gems. I would not trust her with my jewelry.
