Incredibly Disappointed / Issue resolved satisfactorily

1/4/2020 Thank you for working with me to resolve the issue On 6/23/19 I attended the Lake Oswego Art Show and purchased the Tree Frog watch. On 11/20/19 the watch stopped running and I emailed the company. I was not expecting to have quality issues 5 months after purchasing the watch.

I received a prompt response from the company and I have included portions of it below. I found the following section of their response odd for multiple reasons: Their website states you won't have to change the battery for 4 years. Who stops their watch every night? I’ve worn watches for years without them stopping because I wore them outside and then came inside to a different temperature. FYI, I grew up in South Florida

From their email response: “.... The movement or time keeping piece in your watch says that the battery will last 40 months if you pulled the stem out and stop the watch each night. If the watch runs continuously, the battery should last 16-18 months. Several factors can affect the life of a watch battery such as ......... big swings in temperature such as being in the heat and then going into an air conditioned building......”

From the company website: ....”Yes, our watches also tell time beautifully. Equipped with a Swiss quartz movement, this watch only deviates up to two seconds per day and you won't have to change the battery for four years.”....

Below is another section from their email response: “..... Because 5 months isn’t long for your battery, I’d like you send it in for me to check out. I don’t usually do this but as a favor to you, I will refund your postage too......”

In my initial email I relayed that my preference for resolution would be a refund as I didn’t feel this was the quality product I thought I was purchasing. Based on the company’s response a refund doesn’t appear to be an option so I will be shipping the watch to them for repair. They informed me I’ll need to wait to send the watch for repair until they return from shows, so second week in December.

I have purchased 3 Celeste Watches over almost a years time. I bought one with musical notes for my son who is a musician and plays violin and sings in two bands. I bought one for my wife for Christmas that has mushrooms on the face and celebrates nature. In February I purchased a gorgeous sailboat watch with a matching green to band to celebrate the 7th Anniversary of my company: Right at Home Eugene. The artwork on the watches is stunning. Every time we look at the watches, it turns an ordinary event into a few moments of art appreciation...

Wonderful experience! This review is long overdue. I asked Celeste to design a custom watch for an anniversary gift and she made the perfect watch. She kept in communication for the entire process, gave me options and brought to life what I was imagining. She takes her work extremely seriously; when I went to pick up the final product, she showed me a design that she had done earlier but she said she wasn't pleased with it so she tweaked the design and made a beautiful product.
