Shane-E Boy's Sports Shop — Local services in Springfield

I saw this shop while passing through and hit a u turn to get there. This place is awesome! There is a huge variety of new and old memorabilia. I’ve never seen such a well curated collection in one place that didn’t have astronomical prices. The prices here are fair there’s new cards coming in daily and it’s organized and easy to look and find what you’re wanting. The owner is fun to talk to and has forgotten more about sports memorabilia than most people will know in a lifetime. We talked awhile I bought my son some stuff and I was telling him how I was helping with a Jersey fundraiser for a kid with cancer. He was quick to take something off of his shelf and want to make a donation as well. A small town community helping one another is what it’s all about and Springfield should be proud to have this owner and his shop among their community Not only for the hospitality but the rare sports and toy memorabilia available right at their fingertips. Lots of great stuff but the lack of pricing is a huge turn away. Especially on lower end stuff. Been to quite a few card shops over the years and most have dollar boxes and various boxes of different prices. Such as 3 for 10 or whatever it may be. Having to ask what pretty much every card is selling for is annoying especially when the person is just checking online. With a little bit better organization and better pricing habits this play could be top notch. I understand the market fluctuates but as somebody who also sells cards it’s not that frequent nor will it hurt knowing you sold a card for a dollar that you might have been able to get 2 for. Awesome shop!!! Shane knows his stuff for sure. Easily one of the best sports collectibles shops in the southeast U.S. There is so much to see. Cards, autographed balls and jerseys. Baseball, football, basketball, hockey. I visited from out of town and was very pleased to find this place.
