Loved the Papa Bear cabin. 2 floors. 2nd floor 2nd bedroom with king size bed and relaxing glider chair and 2nd bathroom. First floor living room/dining room with 2 sleeper couches very comfortable as couches 🛋. Lazy chair. Large TV no DVD player. CD player on shelf in dining area. Large table big enough for six chairs. And has 6 placemats. Kitchen has an eating bar with two chairs. Microwave, nice stove, refrigerator, very well stocked with dishes, variety of pans, silverware and utensils. Double sink. Large back deck with umbrella table and lots of chairs. Also a charcoal grill. Stairs go down to an area with chairs and fire pit. At night very quiet and peaceful. Howling coyotes can be heard, deer 🦌 and black bear are around. Do not leave pets outdoors unaccompanied. Hawks crows and varieties of birds can be seen and heard. The owner is very kind and has internet in office for you to bring your laptop. No internet in cabin. But lots to see and do. Linville Falls is close, Grandfather Mountain within driving distance, restaurants and grocers within driving distance. My favorite gem mines listed in cabin book along with restaurants and places to see. Anything else you need to know you can use phone in the cabin to call 📞 the office. No swimming area at cabins. But there is a lake not far away. Cell phones in cabin do not work. Have a...

Cross Creek Log Cabins is a great place to get away and spend a weekend or longer if you love the mountains. The cabins are really nice, clean, and furnished with everything you need, and are very affordable. They're very close to many mountain attractions.
