Albany Recycling Center — Local services in St. Anthony

Albany Recycling Center is the cleanest recycling center I've ever been too! I hope they are proud of that. My community has a great recycling center but doesn't take electronics. Albany Recycling participated in a recycling event in our community. That's how I found out about them. I met with Noah ahead of my drop off. He took the time to explain how their recycling works. I stopped a couple of weeks later on a weekday morning. I had six computers, a laser printer, keyboards, cords, desk phones, small speakers, headsets and other miscellaneous electronics to recycle. They are certified to deal with hard drives. I showed up, found a parking spot and was immediately met by an employee with a skid loader. He unloaded my items and weighed them. I met him in the very clean office where we sorted out the billing. They paid me for some items. I paid them for some items. It was a GREAT experience. I LOVE THIS PLACE, You can Recycle Batteries in a bin, glass, paper, plastic, old Electrics in a dump bin, Old Medications in a Lock Box. It is Fully Wheelchair Friendly with Mobility Ramps to the main office, the rest of the open layout surrounds the parking circle and the " FREE EXCHANGE ZONE",has " FREE BOOKS",a big bin & Shelves of different Books. You can Bring Things that are in good shape & Reusable there and drop it off, where Friendly Volunteers Carefully sort & Place the items out on display for those in NEED. Old Record albums, Clothes hangers, Paper, & a Kids section with Toys & things to be Creative with. I was becoming a regular there during the end of the pandemic and they noticed I was in need of money so they hired me for the spring. The owners are extremely great leaders, who don't ask you to do anything they wouldn't do themselves. Also they are excellent at teaching and I was able to get in the full swing of things after just a couple weeks. Unfortunately I could stay with them long, as I had family matters to take care of.
