Terrible customer service from management! They served a kids cheese burger under cooked, it was still pink inside. When I went up to the counter to ask for a new burger the lady was completely rude and unapologetic! She yelled to the four other employees standing around doing nothing for a new cheese burger. Then walked away without asking if there were any special requests as I would have informed them to make it without any condiments but wasn't given the opportunity to do so. When the lady who took my complaint brought out the cheese burger she literally dropped it off the table and walked away again. Disgusted with the service and my experience I went to the counter to ask for the managers name to find out the lady who was rude to while was one of the Managers!! Shocked that I was treated so poorly by management in the first place I continue to express my dissatisfaction how how rude she was, the lack of apology and how her customer service needed a major improvement. The whole time she glared at me and must have got sick of me telling her how she should have handled the situation she told me to have a good day in a rude tone and walked away from me again. Horrible customer service, was given coupons for free floats with NO Expiration dates. Was told "Those are not the current color" coupons were thrown right in the trash. Considering the materials for the floats come in bulk and most likely cost you the least you would give the customer that when they are buying other foods. Rude rude rude. Paid it forward, when I left a bus pulled up, I directed them across the street telling them the A&W was out customer service and the air was not on. Updated for owners response. Now it is blatantly clear where the pitiful customer service stems from, you the owner. Now you are saying I am lying about either the customer service or the air conditioning not being on. Both are true the air was not on that day and it was was such rude service the people in line behind us were shocked as they said something. No, I am not calling and bickering over an ice cream float, I can already tell what kind of cheapskate I am dealing with. An establishment that hands out free drink tickets with no expiration date then retracts the offer. Correct me if I am wrong, that is bait and switch. After my dad and I either go to St. Cloud or the Twin Cities for the day, we always like heading back to A&W in Albany, MN on our way home for a bite to eat, especially getting two frosty mugs filled with root beer to go with our combo meals. That said, I still recall when the A&W in Albany used to be at Don's I-94 gas station across the street and was glad to hear that was able to stay in the area (the closest A&W to us was the Osakis, MN A&W, but that permanently closed). Other than that, the good food, root beer, and hospitality sure keeps my dad and I going to this great restaurant.
