BB Coffee Lab — Restaurant in St. Clair

I've been here multiple times, as they're generally the best place for a quick Monday breakfast and coffee/espresso drink, though I've long thought the drinks are mediocre and the sandwiches are good but not great. They at least got the job done, generally. However, in my opinion it's been going downhill. In the past, they've always had very friendly staff. I don't need over the top friendly service and everyone has a bad day but today, the lady was visibly and audibly annoyed that I simply asked a question about a menu item. It gave me the impression that I was an inconvenience for having the audacity to get some breakfast here. The iced mocha I got is obviously watered down. It tastes like they actually poured water into it, there's just nothing there. Add the price on top of it and I don't think I'll be back. There are better places in town. It's disappointing because they have a lot of potential, but the staff is inconsistent, to put it nicely. One day, the drinks will be at least ok, the next they're terribly made. When I got in, it had an alright atmosphere but I feel like it was a little too open. I asked for a vanilla frappe with oat milk and no whipped cream, but they gave me whipped cream anyway. I also ordered a loaded burrito with no cheese, but it still had it. They tasted good, but as somebody with lactose intolerance, this was kind of upsetting. It was almost forty dollars for two people, but despite the high price, there was a hair in my sausage, egg, and cheese bagel. The bagel was also slippery and almost impossible to bite into. The banana smoothie tasted like watered-down milk, and the muffin with cinnamon swirl was SUPER bland. For such a high price, just take your money elsewhere and go to Starbucks. Will NOT be back...

We were driving along I-44 and got hungry for breakfast. Looking around St. Clair, I found this spot and it looked to get great reviews so we decided to stop in.

They weren’t too busy when we walked in. The lady at the counter was friendly.

I got a sausage breakfast sandwich on a bagel and also shared a chocolate chip muffin. Overall, everything was great! The muffin was baked to perfection and super ooey gooey. The sandwich was also pretty good.
