The Sinkhole — Local services in St. Louis

At the end of the day it's a fun place to watch a show and they pay their artists well. But, in my experience the staff has been very rude. They are strict about when they close but are not forthright with that information. It was only a couple minutes after the last band had played when they yelled "everyone out" really loud and aggressively. I understand that they're working and want to go home but it was unprofessional. With no warning, I found myself totally alone, in not a great area, out in the cold, and waiting for my ride.

Lastly, just get a venmo. People aren't carrying cash and it's not advertised on the band posters that it's a cash only place.

We have been invited to play the Sinkhole a couple of times and our experience has been really cool and fun. Communications with the Booker(Matt) was easy and informative.The Sinkhole may have a Punk rock DIY feel at first glance, however the venue is run very professionally. The bathroom is clean the Bartenders are attentive and friendly.The beer selection is great with domestic and local craft beer choices. The PA is of good quality and the sound is run professionally. We love the Sinkhole! Excellent parking situation for both bands and patrons. Staff behind the bar and running sound were helpful, knowledgable, and communicative. For bands reading this, we did not once worry about the safety of our bodies, friends, merchandise, vehicle, or gear. The back room is secure.
