A few years ago, I was shopping with my sister who was quite a fan of the store. I bought a floor lamp which the saleswoman carried out to the car. When I got it home, I realized that it was wonky and did not stand up straight. I took it to a lamp repair shop but they said it wasn’t possible to fix without spending more than it was worth. The salesperson was rude when I called the store to complain and said I could return it, but she wasn’t sure if they would refund my money. It is my belief they knew the condition of the lamp before I bought it. Two lessons learned: Spend more time examining the merchandise before you buy and Do not expect the salespersons at this store to be honest about the condition of your purchase. Buyer Beware. The St Peter location has been one of my favorite places to go for the last 12 years. Friendly service, quality merchandise, great gifts, decor, jewelry, books... something for everyone! Beautiful change of seasons and honoring holidays always piques interest with the excellent taste in providing new inventory along with keeping stock of great must haves like Thymes, Brighton, Lafco just to name a few.
