Lots of room for improvement. While I know they have only been open for a short time I had higher expectations based on their other restaurants. The osso buco I had was dry and the polenta was lumpy and clumping together. My wives butternut squash ravioli was light on filling and the brussel sprout chips were overdone to the point of being burnt amd a very small portion. Our daughters lasagna and fettuccine alfredo tasted good but the presentation was lacking.
The service was lacking as well. It was stated that focaccia bread was going to be brought to our table and it never arrived. My daughter spilled her drink and they did not wipe the table with a damp cloth so we had to use her kids menu to soak up the residual soda and had to ask for new place setrings when the meal arrived since new ones were not brought out after we had used our napkins to wipe up the drink. We were seated at 5:15 and did not receive our food until 6:25 and upon completion of our meal and stating we did not want a dessert menu we had to wait almost another 15 minutes for the check.
One last note as the sun was coming down it was shining directly in the face of my wife and one daughter, so shades would be nice for that time of day..
Will probably try again in another month or so and can hopefully improve the review...
Read moreDefinitely has room for improvement across the board. Service was okay and the food was mediocre.
We were sat at 6pm and didn’t receive our entrees until 7-7:15. While waiting for our entrees, the focaccia bread that was provided was dry and the apps we received were very oily. When we did receive the entrees, there were multiple problems. The bolognese was cold, the butternut squash ravioli were under filled and very oily. The prosciutto panuozzo appeared under-filled and the side of fries lacked seasoning and were soggy. We also received the wrong entree. Ordered the cacio e Pepe and received a carbonara with overcooked pasta that also tasted fishy.
The restaurant has a very nice aesthetic, but with the big windows, the sun was blinding. Some shades would be beneficial in the future for those dining with the sun setting.
As of right now, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Maybe after a few months when they have time to work out...
Read moreWent for our 1 year anniversary early in the after noon. Let me just say wow. Best place between Mankato and New Ulm. Portions are very adequate. The Bumble Bee cocktail was to die for. I also had the espresso martini (I wasn’t a huge fan of but my husband loved it). The tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had — that says a lot since it’s my favorite dessert.
The atmosphere was lovely. Servers were attentive and genuine. The staff there really want to make it a good experience. It seems like they care about their customers, which is rare these days.
Okay, this is weird, but they had the BEST water. Not sure what they do to it but my husband and I were absolutely shook.
Don’t get me started on their Focaccia bread (which is complimentary) was so surprising. Bread its self was soft and fresh, it even had seasoning on the soo. Craziest part of it, THE BUTTER WAS INFUSED WITH LEMON.
We will be back, for the drinks, tiramisu,...
