My only complain is that I can’t give this rating more stars haha. You MUST come here to get the BEST of the BEST shopping experience you will ever get at any BevMax in CT or even in the entire Tri-State area! First off, the store manager Bruce, is so charming and upbeat! His great energy and knowledge, he’ll point you in the right direction for any occasion!
STAFF- Oh all the staff are just lovely! From the moment you walk in the door, beware! It’s holiday season and they do get a bit crazy in the parking lot, however don’t fret! There is police on site and patrolling the lot/ directing traffic.
PRICES- Its a warehouse, so you’ll get amazing prices on top of extra sales discounts and other offers.
FREE DRINKS- yes, you read that correctly, free drinks! They host many types of alcohol tastings towards the end of the week. Not to be confused with on premise events, you must consume your alchohol off premise, however they do have many sample offerings to create brand awareness so that you may try the product. And don’t worry, yes it’s a busy store, but it’s not crazy and overwhelming busy. Bruce is very graceful in his approach at spotting customers who need assistance. And the distributor reps aren’t pushy and aggressive. So if you don’t care for trying anything don’t worry.
Bruce is the go to guy if you need anything or have any questions. I don’t think there is anything that Bruce can’t answer. He’s very accurate and thorough with the knowledge he has, very assertive and he’s what makes the experience over at BevMax!...
Read moreI had the worst experience ordering online with BevMax. I ordered beer to be delivered to my office complex for a happy hour and I specifically requested for the beer to be cold. The Uber driver (which I did not know was an Uber driver until this moment) showed up 20 minutes early while I was in a meeting. After coming down to meet the driver to get the beer at the requested time, I was told by my building security that he left. I then called the store and the manager was extremely rude to me on the phone. He told me "to just wait a little longer" after I insisted that the driver was nowhere to be found. He then stated that he had no idea where the driver was because the driver was an Uber driver. The fact that the driver was an Uber driver was not disclosed anywhere in the ordering process. After going back and fourth, the manager said to just come to the store and grab the order. I drove to the store to pick up the order to only find the beer to have never been chilled! What an awful experience! Please stay away from this establishment to buy your alcohol...
Read moreThe Google review / complaint placed by Mr. Ciampi regarding his online delivery order is unfair and unjust because: 1. He missed his "delivery call" from the Uber delivery driver; 2. The delivery time was scheduled (by Mr. Ciampi) between 3 - 4 PM (arrival time was at exactly 3:33 PM); 3. The manager at the store tried to professionally assist Mr. Ciampi on the phone just 1-minute after he missed the driver's delivery call (while he was annoyed, and noting, he should have been annoyed at himself); 4. Never pre-instructed building security to contact him when the delivery arrived; 5. Never requested that his items be pre-chilled, which they would have been if he had done so; and 6. Currently, most businesses utilize one or more couriers to deliver goods locally.
Btw, he then phoned the store a 2nd time to state that he was then coming into the store to retrieve the order; perhaps his colleagues and/or superiors were upset and/or...
