I stopped here to get my daughter some flowers for Valentine's Day, and I grabbed one of the foil balloons as well. I didn't see a price on it but thought it couldn't be that expensive. As I was checking out, I looked to see how much the balloon rang up as and saw it showed a little over $3. Didn't think that was too bad, so I continued to pay. Keep in mind it was close to closing time, so I was trying to be quick. I knew the total seemed like a lot, so I looked over my receipt and saw I had paid 10.99 plus tax for this little foil balloon! What I had thought was the price of the balloon, apparently, was the amount of tax on my purchase. I immediately asked if I could return the balloon because I did not know it was that expensive, and i DID NOT want to pay that much for the little foil balloon! I was just going to pick one up from Dollar General or ANYWHERE they would charge an acceptable price, but was told I couldn't! The cashier told me to bring it in tomorrow and get the refund. Lol. Well, I told him I lived an hour away and had just stopped on my way home from lexington as there is no Kroger in my hometown. So I would be making a special trip just to return it. The amount I would pay in gas to get there and back plus the time it would take me wouldn't make sense. I really think I should've been able to return the balloon and get my money back while I was there. I am very upset over this! I know 11 or 12 dollars isn't much to most people, but I don't have it to spend like that, thus the reason I was getting flowers there instead of from a flower shop...trying to save money. I've never seen a balloon like that cost that much even at "fancy" stores in Lexington!!! 🤬ugggh! I definitely do not like this Kroger! If a store is open, they should be able to do returns as they normally do during...
Read moreUnbelievable experience at this Kroger pharmacy. I was visiting the area from out of state. My Dr. in FL phoned in a script for me to Walgreens in FL. I looked on Good RX to find the most reasonable pharmacy nearby to fill the script. I went in to this location. I explained to the Pharmacist and the Pharmacy Tech that I needed a script transferred from Walgreens in FL to their store and explained that I did NOT have insurance and what I saw the cost was for the script on Good RX. When I called back later to confirm the script was ready for pickup the Pharmacist advised me that the script was 1/2 the cost of what I saw on Good RX. I asked how that was possible. He explained to me that he had other Pharmacy coupons from other companies and he got me the best rate he could. I was beyond ecstatic. I could not believe that he would take his time to help me out. I wish I could have him fill all my prescriptions and ship them to me. Unfortunately that does not work. To find such a great Pharmacist who truly cares about his customers is unheard of. I was there on 5/16/2025. Thank...
Read moreMy husband and I shopped here a couple of weeks ago and, there was a male employee set up outside with ribs and chicken. It was a really hot day, 90 plus degrees. While we were waiting at the deli (which was backed up with 10 customers), the employee that was set up outside brought all the meat he had been selling out in the hot sun and placed it back under the heat lamps for customers to buy. Hope no one got sick from eating it. This same employee was telling another co-worker that he was upset about having to work on the week end and joked about blowing the store up right in front of those of us standing in front of the deli. I found that to be really rude and distasteful. The young man working the deli, should hang onto this job for dear life because as slow as he he works, he couldn't make it at any job that requires actual manual labor. He moves...
