This is an incredible place. I recommend it as highly as I recommend anything. If you are on the way to the Gorge or on the way back from the Gorge or just in town, stop in, talk with Christina, and have some great coffee. The three of us had just finished three incredible days of backpacking in the gorge. It was days full of adventure, memories, solitude, and a highlight reel of what the gorge and the Daniel Boone National Forest has to offer. Accordingly, when I tell you that stopping by the Screamin’ Bean on our way home was one of the highlights of our trip, you will know what a great place this is. She cares deeply about her coffee: she buys her beans with a discerning eye, grinds them fresh every day, and does not let them go longer than a week without replacing them. Wow! The first and only time in my life I can say I Drake coffee and ENJOYED IT! 😁 I ordered a match green tea and Christine couldn't let me comment of "I don't like coffee" go unchallenged. She made me an iced coffee that was not only sugar free, but tasted like an amazing desert in a cup or a super specialty carmel hot chocolate. I'm so impressed! We visit the Red River Gorge somewhat regularly and Screaming Beans is our new favorite stop on the drive home! We had amazing coffee (iced vanilla latte and iced white chocolate latte 1/2 sweet). The coffee was SOOO good that I asked about their beans and it turns out Screaming Beans roasts their own!
