On May 8th 2018 , I purchased a Husqvarna front tine tiller at Ace hardware in Stephenville, TX. It cost $ 449 plus tax. Took it home and within five minutes of running it in my garden, it began making a loud squawking noise while tilling, I shut it down, called Ace, talked to the manager, he said go ahead and run it, I liked about 30 minutes finishing, and it made this loud noise the whole time. The next day I washed underneath it so I could look it over, I found where the inside tine was hitting the iron frame, again we called Ace, they then told us we would have to take the tiller to a repair shop to have it checked out. We tried grinding the tines off that were hitting the frame, we got them to clear it, and tried the tiller out in garden, it still made the loud squawking sound. On the 10th, I loaded the tiller and took it back to Ace, asking for a refund, I was told that it was not their problem, that I had to take it to a repair shop and it was now between me and Husqvarna. I could not believe what they were saying, there they had my almost $500 and they would not stand behind the product they sold me. It has been 14 days since this all took place, and I still do not have a tiller. So please think twice before you buy anything of this nature from Ace, and get it in writing what their return policy is, before you buy from them. I had not been here in many years. It truly is much more then a hardware store. It has everything from simple tools to large tools, lawn and outdoor equipment, house paints and accessoriesb home rehab and decorating, plumbing, electrical. It even has school and office supplies, grills, pet supplies and food. Therr is a second store attached for all the cooks and home decor buffs. The kitchen appliances and tools is my own personal heaven. They carry the best selection of NordicWare Bundt pans and cast iron in town. They have Cuisinart and other top brands too.
