Grumps Burgers — Restaurant in Stephenville

There are countless places to grab a bite, but very few manage to serve up an experience as memorable as Grumps in Stephenville. On my recent visit, Justin, the manager, was the highlight of our evening. It’s not just about the food (which was fantastic, by the way), but it’s the people behind the counter that make a meal truly special.

From the moment we walked in, Justin greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism. But it wasn’t just his service expertise that stood out. Justin had that rare ability to connect with customers, making us feel valued and appreciated. It was evident he takes great pride in his role and has a natural flair for hospitality.

It's easy to train someone to follow a script or perform tasks, but Justin's outstanding customer service came from the heart. He went above and beyond, ensuring our dining experience was flawless from start to finish. In a world where true customer service seems to be dwindling, Justin was a breath of fresh air.

Grumps should feel proud to have someone of Justin’s caliber representing them. I’ll certainly be returning, not just for the great food, but in hopes of being served by Justin once again. Hats off to Grumps in Stephenville for fostering...

My wife and my brother and I were in Stevensville for a family event. We found Grumps on Google Maps, saw they were highly rated so we stopped in for dinner. We all ordered cheeseburgers and we had an order of fries, an order of onion rings and an order of fried jalapenos. My wife and my brother both had a large draft beer (served in an oversized glass and very cold). I ordered a fountain drink (self serve and was pleasantly surprised to see that all the drink selections were from the Dublin bottling company). Once we placed our order we found a table and helped ourselves to some complementary peanuts while we waited on our order. The place has a nice oversized ice house atmosphere. TVs with various sports events. It was busy but not so loud that we couldn't hear each other at our table. When your food is ready they bring it out hollering your name and bring it to your table hot and fresh. The burgers were amazing, the sides were plentiful and very good. You know in foreign movies when they say things like “We going to America let’s get a burger/fries.“ this is the place you wanna take them too. It’s got that home town (clean) hole in the wall feel. You walk in, order at the counter, and pick your own seat. You’ve got some peanuts on the table to pick at while you wait and the burger is worth the wait. I got the queso burger and it was that goood queso not nasty fake cheese. Fries=Yummy. Not shoe string thin or steak fry large, just medium with a golden glow of on the verge of overcooked but stopped just in time. Fried pickles were a bit salty but I’m a little bougie about my fried pickles so you may think they are great. All the Durblin soda you can drank’ in true Texan fashion. Also- it’s kid friendly.
