This hobby shop specializes in all scales of model trains and related items. They have many educational childrens toys, doll houses, toy and model cars, puzzles, science sets, etc. A massive inventory of model paints, tools, & supplies for all aspects of modeling, hobbies and other crafts. They sell those little fantasy figures for fantasy games, and too many other items to list. I shop here for O Gauge model trains because that is my primary interest, so that is what I can tell you the most about when reviewing this shop. But they have all the other scales of model train's and sell track, accessories, buildings and scenery for every scale. For O Scale trains they carry Lionel, Atlas and MTH O Gauge model trains. They have Williams and K-Line O Gauge model trains available too. They're pricing is very competitive and the inventory is consistently changing which keeps me coming back. The selection is massive and covers every aspect of model railroading. The majority of the inventory is Lionel, MTH and Atlas Freight Cars, Diesel & Steam Locomotives, Passenger Cars, Starter Sets, Buildings/Accessories, Track/Turn Outs, also a complete selection of scenery supplies (ground cover, preformed rocks, hills, ballast, trees etc.) from all of the major scenery manufacturers. They have Power Supplies, Transformers, and anything else I may have missed to create a complete O Gauge railroad from start to finish. Or add to and upgrade your existing layout. Plus they sell used O Gauge items from every brand in like new condition to used condition. Also all the magazines, instructional books, catalogs, etc. related to trains and other types of models like cars and airplanes for example. There are just too many unique items in this store to list and you should check it out for yourself. You will find something that interests you or your children. It is a large store with many things to look at so be prepared to spend some time exploring all they have to offer hobbyists...
ย ย ย Read moreI have always liked this little hobby shop. Although they specialize in model trains, they cater to a wide array of hobbies. You will find any type of model you might want to build, including dollhouse miniatures, model cars, etc. But you will also find stamp and coin collecting, warhammer, model horses, and materials for any hobby you can imagine. They carry all the tools you might need, including glues and knives as well as more specialized tools. All sorts of wood and metal materials are at your fingertips at every turn. Best of all, the staff (and other customers) are happy to help you with any questions you may have about anything, and will let you use a ruler or tape measure to help you determine if something will be in scale. As for dollhouse miniatures: they carry primarily 1:12 scale products. They have a limited selection of houses on hand, and a slightly larger selection of furniture. Their shingle selection is excellent, and at better prices that I have seen elsewhere. They have a large selection of doors, and a slightly smaller selection of windows. Plenty of wood, although it is spread thought the store. I forgot to check for shingle dye, but they do have paint. In the past, I have been told they would order anything you need, but I do not know if that's still true (I'm sure it probably still is). They also have a really good collection of tiny metal miniatures, and any time I look I find something cool to use. Prices are reasonable, service...

The only problem I had was the older gentleman that works there is not a very happy person and did not make me feel very welcome. I do realize everybody has a personality and I'm not the one to try to change anybody maybe that's just what I see. My problem was I did purchase a 1970 Chevrolet K5 Blazer model diecast displayable one and when I did get it home it was missing the top so I called the store spoke to that gentleman again and instead of looking around for the piece I'm missing kept telling me to bring it in well I know it's not there I would hate to drive an hour and have him tell me the same thing why can't he look around and let me know I will probably keep the vehicle anyways I would just like to know if it's sitting there and if it's worth driving all that distance to go and get it but he would not listen to reason. Don't know what else to do that's not much customer service to me He's standing there would take him 5 minutes to go in the back and look and get back to me. I usually don't post reviews but I think this one is well deserved It's just pure laziness or maybe he just does not like me I do not know why. I spent $1,000 there in 2 days and I thought that was what they there for to make the customers happy and make some money well I definitely am...
