Holiday Pizza — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

My favorite restaurant of all time. I consider myself a loyal regular at this place. I get food from Holiday at least twice a week and if they were on DoorDash/UberEats or delivered to my house, I would get food from here every single day. I work for a nearby hospital and my entire department orders from Holiday. Everything they have on the menu is delicious including soups, salads, pasta, pizza, subs, and bread. The food is extremely high quality and the ingredients are always fresh. I've tried every single item on the menu and there is not a single thing I didn't like. I love all of their soups during cold weather. Their subs are filling and huge. I could eat their salad for three days. I love the minestrone soup, the chicken pasta salad, the breaded steak sub, and their Sicilian style garlic bread and all associated salad dressings and sauces. They have an amazing catering menu and they will make you look good in front of your company/guests if you order catering with them. I just wish they would get on DoorDash or deliver within a slightly wider radius. My house is 6.8 miles/11 minutes away and they do not deliver there. Terrible experience. As a visitor from out of state and a new business owner (2 miles away) I'm saddened by my treatment. After walking in and asking for a cheese slice; it took 15 minutes for them to acknowledge I was there waiting for 1 cheese slice. After a manager came out the back, he realized I hadn't been helped so he brought out a slice and handed it to me folded and partially covered in foil. It had every meat you could imagine. I’m a vegetarian. I brought it back and was told "we will take the meat off for you”. I asked about a plain cheese slice and was scolded that we don't offer plain cheese slices". Why didn’t the cashier say that when I ordered? I was not apologized to. I asked for a garden salad as a replacement and was then told it was $2.33 for the salad even after paying $4.09 for a slice ( I didn’t eat or take) and a bottle water. I quietly left with-only the $4.09...

We’re regulars and normally the pizzas are really good. HOWEVER, tonight we ordered and our pizza was hard on the bottom, dark colored, and way over cooked. Our breadsticks were also hard, the cheese was black from being burnt. We called, to bring this to Holiday’s attention and the man on the phone, Chuck I believe, was extremely argumentative and trying to say that we needed to be “understanding” of their situation. We informed him that our dogs wouldn’t even eat the pizza and he said “Sure” sarcastically. Not only did we have that interaction on the phone, but initially, he “couldn’t hear us” upon asking for a refund and we had to call up there twice. Suddenly he heard what was being said and what we asked of him when we asked if we needed to resolve this issue in the facility.
