I heard good things about the place but had a bad experience. I bought an expensive dress for an event and it needed some alterations.the dress was perfect on me when I bought it it just needed minor alteration.so I took it here everything was going good when I took it in.i came back today to pick up my dresses,i try it on,the dress is kinda tight for some reason(now I know I did not gain a pound since I bought the dress because I weigh myself every morning),I don't know what the case was on their end but it was some how tighter.So they told me they should take a half inch from each side and I should be fine I told them ok. I tried it on again and there's marks where they altered my dress and it became baggy. Before that the boss comes and to give me the dress to try on and points out the marks on the dress and I basically told her that im not happy with it and her response was "it's not my fault this happened,it you" and as she was walking away she was like "exercise" basically saying I'm fat and need to exercise. As an owner she should not be saying things like this to her customers,she could of kept that statement to herself. It was very hurtful and I still could not get over this situation. I'm a mom of a 2 year old and since I had my daughter i been having problems with my weight so that statement made me feel worst about myself then I already did.the ladies that work for her are very polite,I'm surprised a business owner would insult her customers lik this,she is so dry and rude.im not the type to go write reviews online and stuff but I'm bothered by...
Read moreExtremely disappointed in work performed and customer service at Angie's Quick Stitch. I live in AZ, brought in a dress to Angie's when I was in town that has an empire waist which needed to be taken in at the bust (sides, according to ticket) and one shoulder strap that was to be taken in. I paid for these alterations in advance, $46.80. When I received the dress (a friend shipped it to me), the empire waist now fits across my bust (still does not fit) and the shoulder is still droopy. It looks like someone simply pulled up the shoulders and then stitched them! On 3/30/23, I contacted Angie's. Person listened to my concern and asked me to text pictures of my receipt and dress, which I did. Later that same day, I received a text that said I would be called tomorrow (4/1/30) as they had run out of time on 3/30/23. I did not receive a call back. On 4/4/23, I sent another text to follow up and ask for a refund as I now have to find someone who can, hopefully, salvage my dress, no answer. I also called Angie's directly, no answer. I tried today, 4/10/23, again no answer. The first picture is what my dress is SUPPOSED to look like. The second and third are the result of the shoddy alterations I received from Angie's. Read moreI had such a bad experience here. I needed minor alternations to my wedding dress - cups added, and bustle re-done (used dress). Instead of spreading the hooks across the back of the dress to hold up the whole train, they gave me 3 hooks on one side, and the sales person helping us couldn't even tell us where they were supposed to go. I had to make another appointment so they could continue the work they didn't finish the first time, including the cups that were sewn in the wrong place. Despite this, I was happy they had given me a partial $20 refund for my extra visit. I returned home to find out the cups STILL had not been sewn in and were attached by pins!! Also the hooks for the bustle were sewn about an inch below the top of the skirt, making them obviously visible. The loops for the bustle had no backing behind them, so the fine lace they were attached to stretched as the dress lay bustled on the hanger, making a few areas of my train appear snagged. I am so shocked and devastated that so much went wrong with such a simple alteration. I am hoping this can be fixed, my wedding is in weeks and this gave me so much added stress I didn't need. I thought the people at Angie's were very nice, and I'm disappointed this experience did not work...
