I had a very disappointing experience at Sprouts Market. I arrived at the store around 9:40 PM and picked up about 15 items while still looking for a few last things I needed. Around that time, the manager approached me and very abruptly told me that the store closes at 10 PM and that the registers would shut down exactly at that time. She insisted I rush, made it clear I could not finish shopping, and stated it was a âsafety hazardâ to have any customers in the store after closing.
Rather than treating me with courtesy, the interaction felt rushed and unprofessional. I fully understand that stores have closing times, but most stores allow customers who are already inside before closing to finish their purchases. I have never been told I could not complete my shopping in this way.
What made the situation worse was that another shopper was still allowed to complete their transaction without being rushed, which made the experience feel inconsistent and unfair. The only positive part of the visit was the young employee who kindly helped me look for items before I was told to leave.
Unfortunately, I was forced to leave a basket of groceries behind while being rushed out as if it were an emergency. This left a very negative impression, and I truly hope management can address this so future customers are treated with the respect and professionalism...
Read moreI generally have a pleasant experience every time I visit this location, which could be one to two times a week but not this go roundâ. I just left this location and was displeased. I normally go checkout with a live cashier instead of self checkout because the more people continue to use the self check out lines, the less cashiers are needed by employers. Iâve seen this firsthand multiple times but there were no cashiers present which is fine so I went to the self checkout line and greeted the light to brown skin lady with a âgood morningâ. She just looked at me and did not speak. She then proceeded to talk to her coworker who walked up instead and had a full conversation. I paid for my items, she still didnât speak to myself or any other customers. The only thing she did was stand there like she is the security guard or the hall monitor with her arms folded, frowning. We all work with consumers in one way or another and I guarantee you that my position is way challenging than hers, but I still manage to greet everyone that I interact with. I chose Sprouts because of the quality of their products and I consume many organic foods but with the amount of money that I spend in Sprouts on a frequent basis, I can go to another grocery store to have a more pleasant experience. Customer service is a big deal. I expect this from a teenager but not...
Read moreA Love Letter⊠With a Warning** As a health and fitness enthusiast, I was so excited when Sprouts opened right here in McDonough. A fresh, vibrant store right in the neighborhood? Yes, please! Their butcher section is top-tier (the fresh-cut steaks are chefâs kiss), and donât get me started on the brownies â dangerously good.
Even better, the customer service has been amazing. The employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly care about the products and the customers. For a while, I thought Iâd found my new go-to spot.
But then⊠something happened that changed everything.
While shopping this afternoon, I was shocked to see a young person inside Sprouts with a gun. Not a security guard. Not law enforcement. Just a civilian â armed in a grocery store.
I know Georgia law allows open or concealed carry, but letâs be real: Who exactly are you defending yourself from in Sprouts? It felt unsafe, unsettling, and completely out of place in a space thatâs supposed to promote wellness, community, and peace of mind.
I believe Sprouts needs to do better. They should consider hiring private security and adopting store policies that prioritize the safety of their customers â especially families and those of us who want to shop in peace.
Until that happens, sadly, I wonât be returning to a store I truly love. Safety should never be...
