The food was okay, the service was terrible. When we first came into the restaurant, another couple was behind us. We were seated first (there were plenty of open tables) and then the women behind us were seated in the booth behind us. They were served before us, which would have been okay, had it not taken our server about 15 minutes before he even came to our table. We let it go, ordered our food drinks (a plain margarita and a jalapeĂąo margarita, this is important later on). When we ordered the food, the waiter kept asking a lot of questions about one of the food items we ordered, and acted like we shouldnât have gotten it. The issue with that was a manager recommended that specific item to a family member when they visited the day before. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and it was fresh. Drinks didnât come out. We nearly finished our food, and still no drinks. The waiter came over and said something to the effect that we were still waiting on the drinks. We told him to just cancel them because we were already done with our dinner, and didnât want to sit for another hour to have the drinks. He says okay, and that he would cancel them. So we expected that he would come back with our check, but instead about 10-15 minutes later he comes back with the drinks⌠He tries saying that they went ahead and made them, and tries to put them down. We tell him no, that we already said we didnât want them anymore since we were done with our food. He then goes over to the kiosk with the drinks and who we later learned was the manager. They have a dialogue back and forth, and then the manager comes over with the waiter and the drinks. The manager doesnât introduce himself, doesnât ask how our visit has been or try to figure out why we canceled the drinks, he just tries to force us to take the drinks, saying we ordered them and they were brought out. I tell him that it took a long time for us to even get service, once we did get service, our food came out and we finished our food before our drinks even got to us, and that we canceled the drinks (which a simple margarita takes less than 5 minutes to make, and the table behind us got their drinks before their food even came out) ten minutes before he even brought them to us. And all he said was, âoh, okay okay fine.â And then he walked away. No apology, no attempt to remedy the situation, just âokayâ. We told him that we wanted our check because we were ready to leave. The waiter then walked around with the margaritas for about 5 minutes, then went to help other tables. We had to ask him to come over so we could get our check, and even then it took him 10 minutes after that. Overall the food was good, but the service was terrible. Itâs one thing that the server may have been new to serving, but the managers actions are what made the situation way worse. I would have been willing to give the place a second chance, had it just been an off night for one server. But the manager acting dismissive about the situation was the biggest red flag. The other location off of 20 is much nicer, and the staff are much more friendly and the food is just as good, if not better. Donât waste...
Read moreNot one to complain much but damn their service is horrible! #1 as my family and I walked in we werenât greeted at all. #2 my wife, mother and son sat down on the bench while I stood at the desk waiting for someone to assign us a table, one of the managers at the desk ignored the fact that I was literally standing in front of him ask another couple that walked in behind us have they been helped yet! #3 Still standing at the counter yet to be acknowledged of my existence the same manager than asks my wife have she been helped yet! #4. Sat at the table with no waiter for 10 minutes, finally when we were able to order food and drinks they came out at the same time sat it all down at the table with the hot fajita plate right in front of my two-year-old as if plate wasnât extremely hot. #5 the server then only came back to the table once or twice because I asked for the check which was a whopping $144! I Donât advise you eat at this establishment or not on a Friday evening with that shift working! They are horrible⌠By the way I didnât order anything! So that price was based on two adults and a kids meal with two...
Read moreI have been a long time patron of the Mcdonough location. It was my absolute favorite place to go. I live closer to this newer location and decided to give it a try. Total waste of money. The portion sizes here are much smaller than mcdonough. i ordered a shrimp fajita for my 10 year old daughter and son to split, it came with 10 tiny little shrimp for 23.99. i know what shrimp costs, even at retail prices its not more than 2 dollars worth of shrimp. i ordered the nachos "norteno" and man what a joke. half the plate was taken up by the spread out lettuce to make the plate look as full as possible while giving you the least amount of actual nachos they could. the burrito al carbon my wife got was smaller than the mcdonough location. we will not be back here again. very disappointing hacienda. i know how cheap and stingy you are when it comes to buying your kitchen supplies, you could at least put a little food on the plate instead of charging 6x markup over your food cost which is not...
