The breakfast sandwiches are about double Manhattanâs prices and are on par with any bodega in the city as far as taste. Unfortunately, I wasnât expecting to spend nearly $30 for a couple breakfast sandwiches and small coffees. Must be a tourist thing. No problem reading the menu. I just expected more for the money. At $10 a sandwich, they could have been better than the average- size and quality. Iâve been to France, Belgium and many other francophone countries and my patisserie experience was higher quality and less expensive- so yes⌠Bodega in size and quality. On a side note- when a customer asks you that they would like their sandwich heated, itâs probably best to just heat it instead of saying you do not do that for...
Read moreI met a friend here about a week ago and Iâve been dreaming of the selection of gluten free baked goods ever since. I went today and bought the flourless chocolate cake, chocolate Bundt cake, strawberry macarons and a chocolate pistachio cupcake. All were gluten free. The macarons were absolutely perfect in texture and flavor. The chocolate Bundt cake was so good it hard to believe itâs gluten free. The texture, moisture and crumb are what you would expect from a wheat flour based cake. The same can be said for the cupcake. Absolute perfection. The flourless chocolate cake is dense but the perfect size for a sweet treat. Aside from the food, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere evokes a French patisserie. I will definitely be back to...
Read moreWe went to the Lost Lamb on a weekend visit to the Berkshires. As someone who has to eat gluten free, usually there are very limited options at a bakery. Here there were just as many amazing looking gluten free options as regular and all looked equally delicious. Over two visits, I tried a macaron, egg and cheese sandwich on gf bun, apple caramel crumble and coffee cake muffin and they were so incredible they nearly brought me to tears. Nothing tasted gluten free at all. Iâm so impressed by the owner and what sheâs created at such a young age. We really felt like we were in France at a patisserie. I look forward to returning anytime Iâm in the area and wish The Lost Lamb all the success...
