O'Reilly Auto Parts — Local services in Streator

Can’t believe the people they have hired now. Grew up coming in here ever since the building was built and opened up. Getting parts and talking to people whom actually know about cars and can actually help. Well today, walked in with Chaz (or Chad?) vaping behind counter while his coworker stepped out to help another person. Us looking for fuel retainer clip asked him for exactly that, showed him a picture, and he looks at his coworker coming in (who is also vaping??) asking what that is and he just shrugs his shoulders. We asked Chaz to look it up and he does saying there’s none in store and just looked at us. Didn’t offer to put in an order, but then looked up a different clip and asked if that would work, like man you are working at an auto store how do you not know how to look up the actual part we just showed you?! I really don’t recommend O’reilly anymore, Auto Zone actually knows what they are talking about and will get you the correct parts, and if they don’t have it they will actually help you find it or get...

The guys working on the day I insanely walked into O'Reilly's needing a battery for my riding mower & I originally hadn't planned on getting one from there even. First I biked to Walmart because their useless app said they had 5 of the one I wanted in stock. When I got there of course they didn't have any. My next stop was The Auto Zone. They had a few but the only ones in stock were way above what I had intended to spend. When I asked the absolute asshat behind the counter when they were getting more of the $60 ones in he treated me like I was an idiot for asking such a thing. "We don't carry any for that price he snorted" as I stared at the big $60 sign next to me and the empty rack of where these non-existent batteries used to be. So I trekked to O'Reilly's was welcomed by the 2 dudes working they got me a battery immediately and I was happily mowing a short time later. Thanks...

I wish I could give them no starts ... poor quality parts .. bought a new serp. Belt for my 98 Durango . Has new water pump new belt tensioner new idler pulley even ac compressor power steering pump and harmonic balancer has been replace so shouldn't have a issue with a serp. Belt... bought the 3 year good one they say but lasted not even 4 months .. came in with my recet even and wouldn't even warranty it so they lost my business completely will not be back in even if it's the only place around I'll wait for a decent part from somewhere else. .... it's bad enough to install a part once but to have to redo your work due to poor quality and want me to buy a new one..very poor customer service...
