About 15 years ago this used to be one of the most well run stores around but customer service here just sucks now. I have on multiple occasions said hello to the check out person and received no response until I get my change and then in monotone, " You're total comes to......" The straw that broke the camel's back for me came on Good Friday when I stood at the fish counter for about 10 minutes until someone from the deli finally came over to help. The product that I was looking for wasn't in the case so I asked if they had any in the back. The girl nicely told me that wasn't her department but she would get a manager. I heard her make the page for the manager and waited. After 7 minutes she saw that I was still there and paged him again. I waited another 5 minutes and she paged him again. A couple minutes later he came back apologizing because he got stuck out front because of a call off. I said I understand and told him what I was looking for. He checked her on was unable to find it, I told him I would like a rain check he said he was unable to do that because the service desk was closed but we put a note and someone would call me. That was in April it is currently December; I'm still waiting...
   Read moreMy most recent trip was great! The lady working produce was fantastic & super helpful & knowledgeable & picked me the juiciest watermelon I've had in a cple yrs! HOWEVER, my trip prior to that was the worst experience I've ever had there. I went in May 18th to put the order in for my son's birthday cake for the 19th. An almost $60 order for a regular cake, regular icing & a regular happy birthday BTW. It was to be rdy for pick up after 2pm on 19th. I showed up at 3 & after waiting for over 10 min while this woman searched for my order, comes over & tells me they didn't make my son's cake. Somehow, over the night, my order was relabled & misfiled to pick up on May 23rd or 21st. Neither of which was my original order or when I needed it. I ran out crying..I've NEVER been more angry, mortified & felt so guilty for ruining my son's birthday. Painfully...

Prices remain high, customer service is poor to fair, many products available at other GE’s are not available here, (they don’t even know the products most of the time) & management does nothing more than appease you with your concerns. For example, they make pretty good fried chicken, but they take it straight from the fryer & put it in an airtight bag. The obvious result is a gooey mess instead of crispy fried chicken. It’s called condensation people! The manager assured me she would look into this. That was weeks ago. They have a heated bin where they could store it, but nope. Typical. I actually drive the extra 15 miles now to shop at the Meadville store, which is still pricey, but well run and well stocked. Too bad, cuz Franklin is growing, & this could be the go-to place.
