Rural King — Local services in Sugarcreek

Dont trust a word the gun salesman say. Went in with my wife to find a conceal carry handgun. I recently purchased a smith and wesson shield from this location so we were looking for another one. The employee at the counter told us all about the new shield plus which was the new model in his words. I asked if it fit the other shield magazines and he assured me it would. This way i would not have to buy extra magazines as i already have a few spare for my other shield. I should not have trusted the assurances of the gun salesman. After we got home we took the shield plus out to make sure everything worked properly and this is when we found out that the employee lied about the magazines being compatible. I have been buying guns and ammo with rural king for years (along with many other things) now and you have officially lost a family of customers. I should mention that i was also lied to by the front desk customer service when I was told that a trailer I wanted to buy was out of stock. I ended up driving and extra hour and a half to the butler location to buy it there. Only to find out later that night that they had several of the exact trailer I wanted on location for sale in franklin. After being burned twice in such a short time there is no way im going to buy the tractor I was planning on buying from them this summer. I was really impressed with this Rural King store. The store was clean, very well labeled, well stocked, and they had friendly, knowledgeable employees. I was able to find things easily in the store. When I asked for assistance to help me locate an item since I couldn't find it, the employee was helpful and apologized for not having the item I was looking for but did suggest a place that might have the item. I thanked the employee for the assistance. At checkout time, an employee was standing at the end of the checkout line and asked if I was ready to checkout. The employee also asked if I wanted to sign up for Rural King rewards. I have shopped at other Rural King stores and was never asked. The employee was able to explain the rewards in detail and answered my questions. When leaving the store, I was thanked for shopping at Rural King and told me to have a nice day. I don't know why I gave them another chance. Third time they had something on sale I wanted. This time I called ahead because we are an hour away. Wanted the advertised red brand fence 330 ft roll. Called they said they had 9 rolls. Get there and there is a sign for that item and zero rolls of fence. Ask an associate and he said yep there it is. Points to q diff pallet of different brand lower quality. I went to cust service desk and she said they are changing names they are the same thing. No, no they are not. Last time associate did t know diff between chicken and turkey. We will not make this trip again. Don't know of it's the whole company or just the Franklin store but I won't waste another trip.
