Jim, is a fantastic jeweler and has created three pieces for me, from diamonds that he unmounted from a ring that I no longer wore. I had a gold nugget, that a friend had mined in AZ, and given to me. Jim took the nugget, created the ring and mounting and added six of my diamonds along one side. It is a great pinky ring! He then took six diamonds and created a birthstone ring, first, using the gold from the ring, to create the mounting and then, surrounding a large amethyst by flanking three diamonds on each side of the amethyst. Beautiful and such a conversation piece. He had the amethyst, already in his shop, for me to choose, just the right stone. I had two diamonds, left, and he made me a pair of diamond stud earrings!
