Dino Crew Entertainment — Local services in Surprise

We purchased the party package through a deal and contacted the company to schedule for our son's dinosaur birthday party. We had no issues setting our desired date and time and the process was very simple. We checked in a couple times before the party and confirmed everything was good to go. The morning of the party, two Dino Crew members arrived a few minutes early. Knowing that our guests had not yet fully arrived, they were very flexible in waiting until guests did arrive. During this time frame, they went over their routines and asked for our feedback about how we wanted various steps to play out, providing us with the option of customization. During the party time, the dinosaur played several games with the kids and everyone (adults and children) really enjoyed it all. The kids were mainly 4-6 year olds and were a little timid about approaching the dinosaur but still really loved it. The Dino Crew was able to pick up on the children's hesitation with the dinosaur and make adjustments according to the crowd. After games, guests were able to take a photograph with the dinosaur, making memories that will last a lifetime. My son loves every one of the photos. He had a ton of fun and it made him super happy. We booked the 30 min experience for my son’s birthday, and overall the kids had a great time. The dinosaur is truly amazing and such a unique highlight!

Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with the fossil activity afterward. I had confirmed 21 kids both on the phone and in writing (and been charged for that many) but only 15 kits were brought. It was kind of mortifying having that addressed in front of guests, and we had to improvise so everyone could participate, which led to tears that could've otherwise been avoided. The activity itself also didn’t turn out as expected.

To their credit, Kris acknowledged the mistake afterward and issued a refund. I just wish the logistics had been smoother and that their mistake hadn't been brought up right in front of my party guests (embarrassing to say the least). I track my RSVPs meticulously so that no kid gets left out, exactly what ended up happening. I think their previous format (a longer dinosaur show instead of the activity) would have been the sweet spot.

We booked Dino Crew's baby dinosaur package and added a large dino. It was very easy to book online and was very cool they had so many different add on options including snow cones! Contacting Meg was effortless and she always responded quickly and was patient with all my questions as I went back and forth on my options. On the day of my son's birthday party they texted us before they left with an ETA. The set up was fast and the performance was unbeatable! We had kids ranging from 3 years to 10 years and they all had a blast. Chris, the dino trainer, was very interactive with the little ones throughout and paid great attention to how they were feeling. It felt very tailored to the group and she made everyone including the birthday boy feel special. The baby dino was a hit and they completely surrounded it!
