Surprise Aquatic Center — Local services in Surprise

Our family loves to go swimming during the hot days but there are a few things we would like to see happen. One of them being the nasty smell when we walk into the facility to pay. First we thought it was just something stinky in the area that day, but after going there numerous times we discovered it to be a rancid smell that was there each time. It could be the garbage cans in the front? Maybe they need to be thrown away more frequently and rinsed down every other day.. Whatever the smell was, it was bad enough to make me consider not coming back because it makes me question the cleanliness. Another thing we would like to see happen is hours of operation. The hours are very odd and only open occasionally which makes it hard to enjoy a membership there if we were to purchase one. They stupidly still have weekdays they are open (even when school starts) for the stay at home parent with younger siblings/kids or those that are homeschooled even. The hours of operation should open a little earlier in the day instead of opening in the afternoon when it’s almost too hot to be outside EVEN at the pool.

Another thing to note is when it’s busy there is no space for you to find a spot to sit, lay, or even put your belongings. We paced for 10-15 minutes just to find a spot to put our belongings and find a spot to relax when we would like to take a break from swimming. Please add more sitting areas and covered areas. It would even be nice to have more covered canopies around the pool for people to lay out their towels if there are...

Threw my daughters 10th Birthday Party here! It was absolutely great. We had a huge air conditioned room for 2 hours for the parents and kids. The room was a great size, private and had a commercial fridge so we could stack it with drinks for the kids. We were able to bring food, decorations cake, we had music playing in the room. It’s was a Huge Hit!! It was also super super reasonable for a Birthday Party. We usually spend a minimum of $300-600$ for our kids parties. This was less than 200$ and we had 30 people!!! Also we always have issues with people either not RSVP ing or RSVP ing and then NOT showing up. This place didn’t charge me the full amount until the end of the Party. So NO wasted money on canceled spots or extra money for last minute show ups. We are going to make this our go to every year. The kids had a blast!! Plus there are so many lifeguards we felt super safe!!! This is a MUST DO FOR BIRTHDAYS!! Also it’s only a 1$ for Surprise Residents during the summer. Great cheap way to have fun and beat the heat!! Water slides, diving boards, splash water falls, swirling pool!...

We came here the other day after a disappointing trip to hurricane harbor the day prior and we absolutely loved it here. The 2 slides are more than enough to get kids excited (let alone there's like a 2 second wait to get on either of them), the water's clean and you don't feel like a sardine even though there looks like there's alot of people in the park. 10/10 would recommend. The only thing I have really to "complain" about is that the dude at the snack bar was less than friendly and slammed our ice cream into the counter lol and he got annoyed when I couldn't understand what he was saying because he was facing away from us and speaking...
