The WORST experience at a dealership I've ever had. I arrived for my 10am appointment with Jeff he had the keys out for the vehicle i was interested in and also had another one for me to test drive. Upon returning from driving both vehicles Jeff came outside with both vehicles carfax reports. The one i was interested in had been in an accident and as my friend inspected and also drove it he realized what was wrong with it. So bringing this concern up with Jeff he says well our auto shop is located in Sussex they will fix the issue. Ok. When I spoke with the manager Albert on the phone I asked about negotiating since i would be paying in cash. When I said something to Jeff he got nasty and said NO YOU HAVE OR LOWEST OFFER! Ummm ok so I told him what his manager said to me on the phone. Well he went to Albert and he couldn't pry himself off the phone to even deal with a customer should have been red flag #1. Jeff comes back and says no this is the price. Ok so now I'm questioning some bogus fees. They had a parts fee or something but it was for lojack on the vehicle. Told them I didn't want that. He took it off. So another charge of almost $900. I question what this is. Well it was $700 documenting fee, the rest was registration, title transfer, plates. Ummm well if I'm buying it in cash why can't I everything to DMV and do it myself bypassing this bogus fee of $700? Another salesman interjects himself with well in NJ we have to do it. So with this Jeff returns to his manager who is STILL on the phone and says I don't know what if anything at all. He returns and extends his hand to my friend first(who wasn't even the one looking to purchase the vehicle) and tell him to have a good day and that we could go. I have never in my life been treated so DISRESPECTFUL at car dealership. Your VW Jetta that's been sitting there for 4 months and you keep lowering the price will probably sit for another 4 months and you keep lowering the price. On my way home from such a horrible experience on a whim I stopped at Lafayette Motors. What a difference. They will have my business and even agreed to work with me. I will NEVER recommend Northway auto to anyone EVER!!!!
