Scenic Wine and Brew Tours — Local services in Suttons Bay Township

We didn't book a tour because owner was weirdly aggressive, rude and insulting when I made an inquiry for my group. He was condescending when I told him we were staying in the Charlevoix area and told me to "book better accommodations next time" since we were about an hour away from Traverse City. Ummm.... yeah, I know the area and I also know the place we chose to rent is breathtakingly beautiful. But who says that to a potential customer?? He then told me to call another tour company closer to our area but that "all the wineries in that area have s* wine. Sorry, but the truth hurts!" I have absolutely no idea why this owner decided to get so aggressive and start swearing, unless maybe he was drunk. His updated response reports that I expected “extraordinary accommodations at no extra compensation”. Completely untrue. I simply asked whether we were supposed to meet him somewhere to be picked up or if they picked us up at our rental home (per whatever policy they had in place). That’s when the insults began and when he stated that we should have booked “better” accommodations. He asks what motivates people to write reviews? Here’s the reply- rude, inappropriate and disrespectful behavior toward potential customers who are just trying to gather information. I have the text messages to prove how our conversation went down- and while you can deny things and brag about your 5 star reviews, the texts speak...

Five Stars Isn’t Enough! 🍷✨

We had the absolute best experience on our wine tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible driver, Richard! From the moment we were picked up, everything was seamless. The vehicle was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for a day of exploring wine country.

Richard went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable time—he got us to six amazing wineries, kept us on schedule without ever making us feel rushed, and even took tons of photos for us so we could just relax and enjoy the day. He was kind, professional, and so much fun to be around. It honestly felt like we had a friend driving us!

If you’re thinking about booking a wine tour—do it, and if you can request Richard, even better! Can’t recommend this experience...

We had 2 couples looking for a little more personalized tour of the wine region in northern Michigan. We found this business, and worked out a schedule that fit our needs instead of us just going on a bus with a bunch of strangers. Dan picked us up at our Airbnb and off we went. First couple places were great - Dan suggested them. Got to one place we were recommended to go to by some friends and were in and out in 15 minutes - it wasn’t our vibe. Obviously on a bus trip they have a set schedule to follow. This was so nice to go at our own pace. Dan has a very nice vehicle - provided water (have to hydrate while drinking!) let us charge a phone, and took pictures for us.
