I've participated in close to 1,000 auctions, maybe even more. Some online, some live, but these people run the weirdest online auction I've ever encountered. If you've bid in an online auction you know how it works, you make a bid, someone might outbid you, but in the end whoever bids the most wins it. Simple. An online auction with hundreds or thousands of things (like Ehli Auctions) is a bit different than say eBay where there is only one item you are bidding on and it has a specific closing day/time. Most online auctions are run similarly; there is a day/time where the auction ends. However, sometimes the auction house will extend a SPECIFIC item if it gets a bid in say the last minute. This allows other people a chance to increase their bid without being outbid at the last moment. Still simple, right? Ehli is the ONLY auction I've ever participated in where they extend EVERY item even an unrelated item gets a last minute bid. For example, they have an auction going on as I type this with over 2,000 items. It was supposed to close 8 hours ago, but they keep extending all 2,000 items because someone bids on one of those 2,000 items in the last minute (i.e. a minute doesn't go by without a bid on something). I was/am the high bidder on a few items and they haven't received another bid for over 7 hours. However, the item won't end because they keep extending the ENTIRE auction. Damn screwiest thing I've seen in the auction business. With that said, I tell myself every time that I'm not bidding in this b.s. every again, but then 2 weeks later they have another pile of junk that looks interesting. They'd get 5 stars if they would just change their policy regarding extending the auction if no bid is made on THAT item instead of...
Read moreBeen going to this auction for about 2 years and have bought 1000s of items. There are occasionally good deals but quite often the items are damaged or missing parts. Kathy who is one of the owners is extremely rude her husband is a nice guy from my experience. The office is very unorganized and apparently doesn't communicate with ra each other. I was banned after the last auction because they think I failed to pay however that is not the case, I payed in cash to one of their staff and have my receipt, I've emailed them in regards with no reply. With the amount of garbage items I've purchased the rude staff except Kari and Marissa and the lack of customer service I think I'll take my business elsewhere. There are several other auctions in the area and all care about their customers. I'm surprised a business would treat customers like burdens it's very disappointing I really enjoy auctions and buy a lot of items typically fill a truck and trailer every 2 weeks but that doesn't seem to matter to them. I guess that 25% buyers premium has given them a big head. 25% doesn't add up to much when you drive away all your customers though.i hope they can fix the issues they have and many complain about or they will likely go out of business, I know at least 10 people that buy from them who will probably go elsewhere when I tell them I don't recommend them anymore also many others have commented about prices being driven up to their max bid and I can attest to that almost all of my bids would be pushed to my max , it makes me wonder how much money has been stolen from me over the 100 or so auctions I've attended. If you do bid at this auction never set a max bid and don't bid aggressively or they will run...
Read more5 Stars!!! I have enjoyed buying items at EHLI auction here over the past 5 months.
Keri is absolutely amazing with her customer service. I recently won some auction items, but was unable to pick them up on the pickup day because I was put on Mandatory Overtime as I am a Firefighter in town. I called first thing in the morning and Keri was very easy to work with and accommodated my request in a cheerful and appreciative tone. I was able to pick them up early on the next business day. I will always recommend EHLI auctions to friends and family!
This has been a pretty fun process and I have been getting some pretty great deals on many items I would have normally not been able to spend the extra money on. I have recently been establishing a wood working shop in my garage and have done so with a significant reduction in upfront costs! Yes, these items are As Is, and you don’t really know exactly how something will operate until you get it home. With that being said, I have been able to score deep discounts that have much more than compensated for the occasional bust. When I say bust, I am talking about a $5-$15 dollar saw that doesn’t quite work properly, so not the end of the world. I have purchased many many tools for $10-$50 that would normally cost me $150-$500. So for me, it is worth the risk.
5 OUT OF 5 STARS!!!!!
Thank You...
