Read moreGreat place with even great prices. Workers are very friendly. Today was kinda a let down. For some reason our cashier was not up on the prices. Changed us more instead of the 2 dollars. Today was a strange day for them. Got there at 1:30 and they were closed for no power. Come back around 2:40 and couldn't get into the parking lot because of a car accident. Someone had stolen a car and hit two other vehicles and ran off. So was hard to get into the parking lot. Everyone was friendly like always. Prices were good. Alot of new stuff. Nothing changed Alot of plants and hanging baskets, reasonably priced. Had flats of strawberries for 16 dollars, big and bright red. Again prices were good. Went for potatoes but bin was empty. Did find some fruit, watermelon was 99 cents each, limit 2. They were good. Cashier was fantastic, I forgot a charger and she and another woman came out and found us, plus she went and got water for my dog. Alot of stuff, got me my zucchini and paid 1.99 a bag has 4 to each one. Now I can make my bread. Was really reasonable today. I like going to this store. Except today, I was floored with some of their prices. 12 dollars for a container of coffee and 12 pk of diet coke one said 3.99 another said 7.99. Still have some good deals tho. Everything is about the same. Some fruits and vegetables were on sell. Nothing changed except prices. They had alot of hanging baskets for...
Read moreThe place has been there for a long time. I just never had a reason to stop in there. I was at Top Kick pawn and was having a conversation with Mark the owner and the subject turned to avocado. I was surprised to find he enjoyed the fruit about as much as I did and that is a lot. He told me that good deal were to be had on avocado at Valley liquidators. A day or two later I found myself passing by and pulled in for a look. Avacado are a Fickle fruit. In a very short time they go from unripe to ripe then pass very quickly into overripe. This can be sped up intentionally or unintentionally by placement near things that release ethylene gas which is a ripening agent. Other avocado, apples, and bananas amongst other thing release it. The avocado I saw that day were about ready for the dumpster as far as how I like them but if guacamole is your forte these would have been perfect for that. The price of 69 cents a piece was good too. Hope the price is as good when they are not quite so ripe the next...
