Thrift with me in Jasper, Ga! #thrift #jasperga
Candi RayCandi Ray
Update: Today, my husband went to check out bicycles so he could ride alongside our sons. He called prior to check if any were avaliable and was told yes and that the bicycle prices ranged $15 to $30. My husband found a used huffy mountainbike and the man, being addressed as Sarg, sternly said $45, my husband asked if he'd take $40 and was told no this is not a flea market. Sarg told my husband he was a liar about the phone call then he began to say disrespectful things about my husband to his volunteers outside. The man also said it was a $300 bike, but our local Jasper Walmart has it for $98. It's despicable how locals are treated and spoke to yet resellers are worshiped here. This store USED to be a wonderful local place to shop but after a recent closing and reopening it is obvious the volunteers/director forgot about common sense and the prices are ridiculously high. Thrift stores and yard sales are how I bought items for my home and kids as a one income family. When I asked a volunteer about the pricing she quickly told be about inflation and gas prices going up then told me the alternative was to go to Walmart. These are exactly the reasons families come here to find decent things for their homes and families. Between the ridiculous store hours it's obvious the volunteers are not catering to the local families that need this store to flourish. This is a wannabe Christian antique store with donated items that gives out grants.

2nd updated review! They have bettered themselves 100%. Exactly what a thrift store should be! The new management is SO MUCH BETTER. I love the volunteers. I am so happy it's back to normal! Thank you for getting rid of the problem and greedy management and doing what a Christian thrift store should!!

UPDATED REVIEW. I really hate doing this update however, I feel I need to. I used to LOVE this place..but for the last few times of going in, everything has changed. The prices are ridiculously high for a "thrift store" it's like they have gotten SO GREEDY and have forgotten that all the donations given to them were FREE!!! I definitely will not be making any additional donations to them until something changes. It breaks my heart to see this because at one time, this truly was a gem of a store, now it seems they are attempting to compete with and become just another overpriced antique store in .town. Very Sad. Guess I will be making a longer drive to find another fave thrift store. My rating went from a 5 to a 1...not to mention how rudely we were treated by one of the "pricers" when I asked for a price on something, her response was...well, that's gonna be expensive 😳. Trust me, I can afford it...just the point!! I ran my own thrift store for many years..definitely not a way to maintain your customer and donation base!! DO BETTER.

I LOVE THIS STORE GREAT DEALS AWESOME UNIQUE FINDS. Try and go...

I have shopped there many times but today was my final visit...I asked an man coming out of the back, if they had any twin bed frames for sale without the mattress or box springs and he referred me to the Manager "David" who couldn't be located at that moment so I looked around while I was waiting. "David" was later pointed out to me and I approached to wait my turn to talk to him. The woman ahead of me asked him if the hangers in the back were for sale and said she would like to purchase some if so. A man standing by David went to go look in the back to see what she hangers she was referring to. The woman continued to speak to "David" just saying she didn't know how they price things or who the Manager was, just chatting really filling the void when "David" said in a very indignant tone "I do and I am the Manager!" The woman then commented that he must have misunderstood what she was saying to him when he again rudely replied "I didn't misunderstand you but I am telling you!" Now I don't know what he thought she said to him or if he was just angry at being interupted but I had to walk away at that point being embarrassed and humliated for the poor woman and at the verbal Abuse I witnessed. I will never again shop in this store because of this and I don't know who acually owns the business but you need a new manager, one who doesn't verbally abuse the...
