They place was cleanish. The owner was there packing fish away from the recent shipment. We entered and we're not addressed or even acknowledge till I told a new hire (she was hired that day from what she said. New years Eve.) That a dragon fish gobi was not a snow flake eal. We did end up making a purchase we picked out 6 nerite snails and 2 gold mystery snails and one small fresh water crab. She reach in with her bear hand and not gental at all almost rips the snails off the glass then I also had to proceed to tell here and point out which snails were rich between the mysteries and the nerite snails. I'm not even sure if the owner knew what I was talking about either because I asked him if they had any apple snails and he pointed me over to the tank of the mystery and narrates nails but as I was leaving I looked at the planted tank where they were selling all their plants and there was a apple snail a legitimate big apple snail like I was looking for and that tank and I pointed it out to the owner and he's like oh yeah I forgot about that guy and I asked him how much he wanted for you and he said $5 I'm not questioning the deal or anything at this point of the visit I was mainly just questioning his business management. So I thought it over for a second And I politely declined and then we walked out all the snails that we did purchase earlier are still alive and accounted for and so...
Read moreMe and my father went to this place close to two weeks ago. My father was assisted by this guy whom we asked him that we wanted to purchase a coaco worm. I was shocked to see how this guy somehow brutally pulled the worm out of its tube and was floating in the tank. This guy picked up the floating worm in the tank and tried to stuff it back into the tube so i told the guy that he killed the worm and he responded back to me "oh, its not dead". No lies people. We asked for another coaco worm as he killed the one my dad wanted. I also purchased a orange clown fish, but i truly regret buying the poor fish and coaco worm as it died within 24hrs in my tank. My water conditions and quality were in perfect condition and i always properly climate new fish before introducing new life into my aquarium. I saved the water from this place and decided to test out the water. It was extremely disappointing to find out how poor quality the water was and the salinity of the water where the fish/coaco worm was sold in was way below recommended for healthy fish or coral health:(!. Sorry to say this, but will never go back to this place or will recommend purchasing any life...
Read moreThe store is nice, has a-lot of pretty fish, anatomies and, corals. It’s sad to say that the employees aren’t doing a good job with cleaning the tanks and there are several dead fish that are just laying around, no one collecting the dead fish so the fish that are still alive are eating them and digesting, whatever parasite they have, the “healthy” fish are now getting sick. My boyfriend and I love to go drive around Brandon,Tampa and the St.Pete area just to see what all the fish stores offer. The employees at coral reef aquariums are sweet but need more experience with salt water. We bought a fox face and 4 damsels. Acclimated and introduced them in 2 different systems once we got home. Both systems are well-established with much more delicate fish than damsels. Not even 24 hours later they’re dead. Aren’t damsels the hardiest fish? So something is definitely up with coral reef aquariums water and the owner need to do a clean out of all the dead fish in each tank and medicate the main fish display. BUYERS BEWARE! I’m putting this review for learning and growth for the...
