I was incredibly impressed not only with Gold Plaited salon itself but also with the exceptional level of customer service and professionalism. I booked an appointment for hair and makeup for a branding photo shoot this morning, and of all mornings, I somehow missed my alarm. What could have been a highly stressful situation was completely alleviated by their amazing team, who accommodated my appointment despite me being an hour late and still got me to my shoot on time.

Ali did my hair, and Alissa did my makeup. Both were extremely talented, very personable, and made me feel so comfortable, even though I came in like a hurricane, a total train wreck rolling out of bed. They handled me with such calmness and great energy. The salon itself is absolutely adorable, located in a cute little bungalow right next to the University of Tampa, with a Scandinavian Boho vibe on the inside. I could totally imagine girls coming here to get ready for their weddings with their bridesmaids.

I've been to quite a few salons for my branding photo shoots, and this was by far the best experience. My hairstyle held all day, as did my makeup. I have really thin hair that tends to lose its curl quickly, but Ali installed my instant extensions and nailed my hairstyle! I always get worried with makeup because I never wear a lot of it and am generally disappointed when I get it done, but Alissa made me feel absolutely beautiful, and my makeup looked flawless for photos.

Here they go again! The GP bar of excellence for hair and makeup is high, but they’ve managed to bring it to Tampa and I’m here for it. The space itself is a whole vibe and right when you walk in the perfectly coral pink and gold decor welcomes you with open arms. The bungalow is a perfect spot to get your hair done just because or with your gals for a special event. The GP stylists are all trained to give you an excellent blowout that lasts for days. I have seen first hand how their stylists continue to grow into the experts they are and you just sit in their chair and trust they’ll make you look amazing. I was a little worried since my hair isn’t used to the Tampa heat, but I went on a long walk and these waves aren’t going anywhere.
