Well I just moved back to the area and over a year ago discovered balayage hair. I had red hair and has transformed beautifully over the year period. I had found a wonderful artist in Phoenix who did wonders with my hair. I had just refreshed the balayage in February so when I got back by the end of March i needed a root touch up, and i wanted to work on getting some lighter pops of blonde. Well that's not what i got. I went in with my story and pictures so she would know what my hair has been through. After some talking she comes back to me with a game plan and I also partly blame myself to I should of spoken up more but I didn't not realize what she was going to do. Again I already had a balayage done I just needed maintenance. So she says well we are not going to balayage it and I thought well yea it was just done I just want a touch up and some light blonde pieces. So it was not til after i left when i could get really close up that i noticed she simply just foiled my freaking head with blonde. Not what i wanted, not what i said i wanted. I was so upset. I just blew 200 bucks for highlights that ruined my fresh balayge i had done earlier in February. And she was very pushy with trying to sell me products. I have invested a lot of time and money in to the right products for me ranging from Blacklight to Davines(which she had never heard of, should have been my first clue). I get salon people ask about products you use but when I tell you I'm not interested, move on. We walked up to the counter and I was standing right there and she is talking to the guy like we need to get her the hair mask and blah blah blah. I finally said again no. So frustrating. This place gets one star only because I cant rate it less then that, but also at least my hair was not damaged, just not done how it should have been. She also tried to tell me my hair was too short to balayage. Right that is why I have been getting it done that way for over a year now. And today I found an amazing stylist who specializes in balayage that just fixed my hair and made it everything it should of been and more. But most of all this experience at Priel was so disappointing because before I moved back I knew I would need to find someone that could do my hair and I did a lot of research and read reviews and this place seemed fairly comparable to my salon in Phoenix. I will never be going back and I'm so disappointed i wasted 200 bucks on...
Read moreI have bee a valued customer in this salon for 5 or 6 years.Last week I missed my appointment because they called me from my son school saying that I have to get him to the ER because he got a big scar on his chin and it is bleeding. Hearing that I go like crazy to the school and I was not thinking about anything else just to get and see my son.The next day I called the mean/rude staff on the salon and I explained the situation she said your account on hold and it is up to the manager. She did not call back so I called after three days to see if my account was reviewed, she said we can not schedule u unless u pay 150$ deposit. So,I told her ok just forget about it because I am not paying deposit. I do not care for the money and they know that. What makes me having this bad review is that I just discover that they do not appreciate or they do not put themselves in my shoes for what happened. They were so mean and rude. The only thing I like about that salon it was because it is so close to my house and my kids school.Other than that it really feels bad when you are a customer and I never ask for any price or any charge before doing any service although they keep changing their prices every visit. One time I notice the huge difference between the previous month and the meanwhile service so I decide to call and ask rather than the lady on the cashier think herself is smart and I am the stupid and she did it on me.I called and I asked why that big difference in the charges between the two visits also I got the same exact service. She said oh we keep on changing our prices, and when I said but on your website the prices are also different she said ohhh maybe the manager forgot to update the website prices. All what I did is hang up the phone because I know it was my fault to trust and not to ask where every single penny is charged.I just realize that being carless or classy in your behavior (money wise)will make some people instead of appreciating that and be honest they will think you are stupid and they will take advantage of that. It was my fault to be nice and sometimes being rude is much better with some people. I did not loose anything not to be this salon customer any more but they are the losers and it is better for them to change because this is not how you...
Read moreLet me share with you how I discovered this place. It felt like the universe was guiding me to Priel Salon, and specifically to my new hairstylist, Daily, whom I'm proud to call mine. Daily is not only patient, nurturing, and skilled with hair but also provides exceptional customer service and confidence in what she does. I had a hair problem the night before going horseback riding, and I needed to re-bleach my platinum hair to a level 9 and make corrections. They found time for me, even serviced me earlier, and took all the necessary steps to keep my hair strong and healthy. I left the salon entirely happy with the results and feeling like they had turned my frown upside down. Not only did I avoid looking silly while riding a horse, but I also felt great for Father's Day spending time with my daughter, who loved my hair. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a reliable, talented, and knowledgeable hairstylist. Daily is a pillar and has an incredible personality that makes you feel taken care of and heard. The entire staff at Priel Salon are experts and great at what they do. I'm glad to have finally found a salon that makes me feel at home...
