I hate that I even have to write this review, I really enjoy supporting local businesses, and always shop local if I have the opportunity to do so.
I visited Roberson and Dupree on Friday, October 7th after cashing my check, I was waiting on my husband, needed a new pair of shoes (or three) and was there to spend some money. Originally, I thought I only had a few minutes (he was in southern bank next door putting money on his card) so I had to hurry. I went in, asked if they had a certain shoe, they said no without any other greeting or asking if I need help. I wondered around for about 3 minutes, found a pair of shoes that were basically the same exact shoe but not brand (youâd figure theyâd recommend them since I was looking specifically for that kind of shoe but they didnât) but I found them anyway, Took them to the counter, paid for them and walked out. I went to my mother in laws car, put them on, and waited a few minutes. He was in the bank still so I said oh well, Iâll go back in and actually look around since I had a few minutes. I walked around in my new shoes, tried on a few pair, then I saw him walk out the bank. I went out to the sidewalk in front of the store, called him inside to look at a few pairs of Ariat boots he had been looking for. He came in and politely asked for help in sizing. He was extremely nice to the associate Taylor who was helping us. We decided we were gonna walk into the bank to withdrawal cash to buy multiple pairs of shoes I saw that I wanted and while we were In there, we get pulled out by police who wanted to speak with us because they had reports of a tattooed couple âstealing shoesâ. Instead of confronting us when we walked out, or hell, even checking their cameras, they profiled us I feel, and just called and reported us. I had my bag, my mother in laws car and trunk searched, and guess what? NO STOLEN SHOES. As Iâm crying and having a panic attack outside from being confronted by the police and the fact I just had my mother in laws car searched and how embarrassed we both were, I ask if I could return the shoes I had literally purchased 20 minutes before and was told no because they had been worn for literally 10 minutes. Out of the three employees who were there, none of them greeted us, asked if we needed help, and none of the three were decent enough to come out and apologize for the trouble they had caused us Friday afternoon, so we took our $600 we were about to spend with them down the road to a store they didnât treat us like criminals in. We tattoo outside of town so A lot of my clients are aware of the situation and pretty disgusted as well.
If youâre in the market for a nice pair of shoes, beware of this store. We treat everybody with dignity and respect and unfortunately werenât treated the same. Go somewhere they value their customers and understand theyâre not entitled to...
Read moreOK, so I have been to this hidden jewel. Since last post, I had to go back to this store, and all the things I spoke about before are still the same. This store may not be as popular as rackroom or footlocker. But there customer service that I spoke of is the same with all of their employees. The store itself is a real shoe store. If you have never been to this store, you are going to miss out. So again I ask, why go out- of- town shoe stores, when we have the best in our town. I do hope that you will stop by their store and see what they do have. If they don't have it, I'm pretty sure they will get it ordered for you Thanks for everything
I forgot one thing. These guys also have a truck they will bring to your company or business, because they also specialize in work boots and shoes, safety and medical foot wear. Have your company call and set a date, to set a date up ln this. Oh BTW I'm not an employee, I just really company

Read moreAlthough I've heard good things about the place, I wasn't able to get my handicapped family to it to get shoes, because there is no handicap parking. Drove from Wilson to visit there and when I hot there I noticed there was no parking out front on Main Street. Well, there was, but it all had curbing, which prevented wheelchair transfer. Went around back and parked, got him in the wheelchair and headed toward the rear entrance. As I got closer, I noticed that the rear entrance was 3-4 feet below ground level, so we had to leave -...
