Edit: was 2/5 stars but edited it to 1/5 to the weird response from the owner.
Strangest experience Iâve ever had with a tattoo artist, and thatâs saying something since I do have multiple tattoos from prestigious artists over the past 15 years from all over Florida. I was trying to set up an appointment with Mr. Williams, was planning on driving a few hours and getting a hotel room. The appointment was meant as a surprise for my fiancĂ© since heâs been a fan of his work for over 5 years. We had a date set up and a design picked out, which took days in between responses since Mr. Williams was not responsive at all during the set up of the date. I even wanted to compensate him for his time for designing the tattoo since I did request two designs. After we had everything set up Mr. Williams voiced he wasnât comfortable tattooing as a surprise on my fiancĂ©, no problem, I let my fiancĂ© know what my plans are and he was super excited knowing I was in communication with him and even expressed wanting more work done on the day. Mr. Williams just flat out said he will not work with us whatsoever. I talked to a local well-known artist and he set me up within 2 hours with another artist who does similar work. 3 weeks of trying to set up a date with Mr. Williams and that effort only took 2 hours with another artist. Which may I add, is another artist who also hand draws and does not...
Read moreBEWARE⊠I was initially impressed by the reviews and artists here. My original guy (at another shop) wasnât available and I wanted a tattoo for a dedication to my terminal best friend. I opted for Kent to tattoo my arm. He was very heavy handed but I never imagined the end result. It has a blurry exterior and looks terrible. I first thought the area was bruised from the extreme pressure he used. After a few weeks, I went back to the shop to ask him about it. He informed me âthat tends to happen to some people. Young, old, it doesnât matter you just never know when someoneâs skin will do that.â He also stated that he could âfix itâ by adding a background to it like heâs been doing for another customer / girl that it happened to. I definitely wasnât giving him more money to âfixâ something that he ruined in the first place. Not to mention I obviously wasnât the only one⊠I have a âtattoo blowoutâ which results from the ink being incorrectly placed too deep into the skin. This is a permanent error due to his negligence⊠and Iâm stuck with it. I now regret hastily making this rash decision instead of waiting for someone that I know...
Read moreI came in for an education and to schedule an appointment for my first tattoo. Despite the fact that he was completely booked up, Tom took the time to fully explain the entire process and was very laid-back. Very friendly atmosphere. The artists' galleries speak for themselves. I'm glad that I chose Mr. Williams Tattoo Co. for my first ink. They also have quite an extensive collection of piercings, gauges and body jewelry. I'll be sending all my friends to them in the future! EDIT Wow! Finally got my first tattoo! I definitely put my trust in the the right place (and the right artist.) I couldn't be happier with the result! Every aspect of the experience lived up to the expectations I had placed on this establishment. Not only did the end result leave me satisfied, the staff made the entire evening fun. What a great bunch of people. Now, I just have to figure out how to cope with my...
