Munchies Live BBQ — Restaurant in Tavares

We’ve been saying for about a month that we were gonna try this new place with our friends. Finally tonight, we got there and we were not let down! We wanted some of everything so we opted for the family pack for 4. We had ribs, pork, chicken, French fries, onion rings, baked beans, macaroni, and cheese, garlic bread and for dessert, homemade lemon cake!! Such a cute place had picnic tables outside where you could gather with your family and eat outside and the cutest little room inside which is where we chose to said it was so cozy and quaint. There were two lovely ladies that were helping us at the counter, one being the owner’s daughter. They were so helpful and explained, and answered so many of our questions, which we had many. I very very rarely leave reviews, but this review is worth the time and effort. I can't say enough about how absolutely amazing the food is. I even drive 1 hr one way just to go get food from this place! The meat is so tender and so flavorful, ( I'm a drown everything in sauce person, but the brisket is so delicious I don't even need any sauces to put on it) The brisket is perfection, hands down best I have ever had, and I am a foodie and travel all over to try out new places to eat. Even the sides, potatoe salad, Mac and cheese, collard greens, bbq beans delicious. Both locations Mt Dora and Tavares have welcoming atmospheres, I highly recommend this place. If you haven’t been to Munchies Live BBQ yet, stop what you’re doing and go, the chopped chicken is INSANELY good. Like, shockingly good. Perfectly smoked, juicy, and full of flavor on its own, but when you hit it with any of their sauces, it’s next level.

Every single sauce is a win, but that jerk vinegar sauce is straight-up addictive, tangy, spicy, and just the right amount of kick. It ties everything together and makes you wonder why every BBQ joint doesn’t serve it.
