Color Country Animal Welfare — Local services in Teasdale

I am so happy to share a review of CCAW! I am one of those ladies that loves a good cat, well, any cat, especially if they are starving and cold. My husband and I moved to Bicknell 5 years ago and suddenly have starving kittens. To make a long story short, we began feeding them then heard about CCAW's spay and neuter program. We got the kittens caught and fixed with major help. Since then we have been able to spay and neuter at least 7 cats. We also get their shots and extra help if they need it. We have learned a bit of useful information from our local vet, Jake Vandyke, such as one of them had no teeth. She gets a good portion of canned food!

Recently we have had to give out extra food with the cold. Color Country came to our rescue several times. We may be feeding 13 cats right now as the weather is bitterly cold and there are so many strays and wild ones. They have provided us with canned food, a delicacy our kitties enjoy, and a couple of bags of hard food. It's very costly to feed animals in this day and age and the help has been most greatly appreciated! Thumbs up to Color Country and to those who are providing the surplus. We have also been offered help for a cat round up so we can get more of the stray cats and wild ones fixed. Thank you Color Country for this great offer and for all you have done to help those furry friends without a voice!

I first went to Color Country looking to foster to adopt another cat, I was looking to find a friend for my kitty at home. I couldn’t have gone to a better place! The staff here are so friendly and supportive. They provided everything I needed to take care of the cat while I was fostering. They were always available to chat on the phone about any issues/concerns I had while fostering too. Their support made the process so much easier for me, and today I officially adopted the cat I was fostering with them. I’m so happy to have welcomed her into my little family.

Color Country’s space is beautiful and you could tell all their cats were well taken care of and happy, I’m sure that’s true for all the animals they care for.

CCAW provided day care for my dog while I visited the National Park. This was the first time I've ever used anything like this and everything went very well. The indoor portion of the enclosures are a bit small but the dogs have the ability to go into the outside portion of their enclosure whenever they want. For my 25lb dog I felt that the size of the enclosure was just fine.

For years I have had to avoid visiting official National Parks because I travel with my dog. It was so nice to be able to drop her off for ~8 hours so I could visit the areas of the park that don't allow pets.
