However, we left feeling disappointed.||When booking, we had to reserve a queen room for the first night and a king for the second due to limited bookings left. We were told that if they could keep us in the same room without switching, they would notify us. I never received any notification, so we expected to move to a king room on the second night. Instead upon check-in when I asked about the room switch we were notified we would be kept in a queen room, which wasn’t ideal. They were unable to accommodate us to our emailed reservation confirmation due to selling out. My husband needed to watch the football draft for work; the queen rooms don’t offer comfortable seating for that.||While I appreciate the effort to keep us from switching rooms, the lack of communication about the change was frustrating. We met the owner for the first time, but we are familiar with his work. He has been involved in some of our favorite locations around the state. He is remarkably attentive to detail and it shows. Garbage cans have a recycling option. The are some free drinks and snacks in the room. There are also plants. Seriously, who thinks of plants (Joshua apparently)! The person checking us in asked us about our plans for eating. This can be really helpful Options can be limited here based on our experiences in the past.

The bed is "so comfy" according to my wife. The internet makes me smile (220 Mbps up and down...pics below). I can download the pictures of the day without leaving the computer for an hour and checking on it every 5 minutes.
There isn't a safe in the room. The parking lot is a compacted surface, which isn't uncommon for this setting. My wife was able to roll her bags on the surface. I wasn't smart enough to try. The surface seems to fit the setting. The sidewalk starts almost immediately next to the...
