My wife and I drove down from Corona and played the course this week and were paired with a couple of nice young men who are locals. The guy that checked us in was welcoming and very professional. The starter was cordial, but didn't provide much in the way of information. He didn't direct us to the first hole nor tell us that we were joining another twosome. The course was in pretty good condition. This would be a 4 star rating except for a couple of important things. First of all, it took us just over 5 hours to play on a Thursday with a 10:40 tee time, we waited on every shot, and we never saw a marshal. Either they aren't forcing slow groups to keep up or they're scheduling tee times too close together. I stood in the fairway waiting to hit my approach shot while I watched a player in front of us take 6 shots from right next to the green to hole out. The second issue was the pin placements and distances on the cart GPS was wrong on every hole. I guess they have so much business that they think they don't have to sweat the details. Lastly, it cost us $64 plus $20 for the cart per person. Too bad, because the course is nice enough to go on our regular rotation, but I won't be returning to a place that is so...
Read moreSo... I played my first and second game of golf (ever) here, and as a beginner golfer I think it was ana amazing experience. I've been to driving ranges at various courses so I've been to many courses, but never played until my stay here it the resort with the unlimited golr package. The stuff here is so incredibly helpful.
The Marshall would wave and ask if we were having a good time. The entire staff was so welcoming.
I ended up losing my head cover for my driver during the last 9 of the holes that we played. We don't live in town at all... So I was pretty bummed that I lost it since my clubs were a special gift. Well... 10 mins after I left... The pro shop called us to get me my cover back. I didn't even give them my phone number. They just remembered us!
So hospitable. The restaurant (Cork and Fire) was equally as awesome. The food was insanely good (you've got to have the wagyu and the brussels sprouts), and the bartender took the time to make my favorite cocktail for me (which required blue cheese stuffed olives). (I believe her name was Toni).
My stay and experience was amazing. Highly...
Read morePlay course 5 October 2024. I will say that coming into the pro shop was not that good of a welcome. As for the rest of the staff, they were amazing and welcoming. The course amenities has good practice facilities with full size driving range. The course layout is very challenging which makes you think twice about club selection very often. The back nine has a lot of blind shots off the tee which can be either rewarding or shoot your score up. As for the conditions of the course, I expected ed better from the prices we paid. Some of the tee boxes need a lot of work. The fairways are in pretty good shape but are patchy. The bunkers are well kept and so are the greens. The greens are semi fast but challenging with many slope obstacles in your way. The course is great but prices are steep for the conditions. The only other thing missing is drinking water available out on the course for golfers to fill up as they play. However, they do have a cart girl but you only see her maybe...
